Far From Noise is a very relaxing and interesting game on PlayStation 4 that I highly recommend you play. It's definitely not for everyone since the game is pretty much a visual novel without what some would call “proper gaming,” but hopefully this won't keep you from experiencing a great indie game on Sony's console.

Far from Noise is an exceedingly short, narrative experience told through simple dialogue choices. The visuals are pleasant but limited, the music is quite nice but there’s little else to sustain you for even the short hour it takes to play. The writing is just not good enough to make the whole thing feel worthwhile let alone ask for $9.

Far from Noise is not a game for everybody, but it is a game that everybody should play. Amazing narrative, a remarkable story and an incredible visual style are the elements that make this videogame a true piece of art.

Far From Noise is a haiku of the video games' world. Minimal amount of expressive means is compensated by the most careful elaboration of each of them. Every

Far From Noise is not a game for everyone. If you go in expecting traditional gameplay, you will be highly disappointed, but if you approach it with the understanding of it being almost like a picture book, then you will be in for a magnificently written reflection of yourself as well as musings on some of the heaviest topics about life. We went into this expecting a short title with a bizarre premise, and walked away having consumed a beautiful, occasionally melancholic story that helped us understand ourselves a little better along the way.

Far From Noise is a unique experience that I'm delighted to have had a chance to play, and I loved each minute of it. Its creator, George Batchelor, did an amazing job on this release that every player looking for a different, introspective experience should definitely play! Come for the game presentation, and stay for the amazing narrative!

Far From Noise is specifically designed for those wanting a contemplative, thoughtful experience. The story told is one of warmth and wit, asking existential questions, and exploring the meaning of life. For From Noise is a simple game, but one that asks not-so-simple questions.

I love it because it's genuine bona fide art, made with that explicit intent and, importantly, successful at it. It's a game that weaves a masterful story, and would only really work as interactive art, because ultimately, what this game is about is a conversation... and it wants to hear your answers as much as it wants to pose questions to you.

Far From Noise is an important showcase that games should work within their limitations. A single developer like George Batchelor can never make something that'll rival Uncharted in scope or scale, but here he's managed to work within boundaries to make something all the more profound. Smart writing and design can go a long way, and Far From Noise manages to go many places while never leaving the edge of a cliff.

Whether or not you'll like Far From Noise depends on if you're looking for a contemplative experience, one that asks you to slow down and enjoy the view. One playthrough will probably run you one to two hours, and it has replay value if you want to see where it can go.
