The War Machine is an uneven DLC with a great new multiplayer map and Zombies chapter but unfortunate issues elsewhere.

Another good effort to make CoD: WWII grow up a bit more. This DLC puts into the mix some welcomed air combat, but on the other side it doesn't do a lot of new things on the rest of it's content.

WWII's DLC is slipping into a comfortable skin, which is great if you've already nabbed your season pass, and meh news for everyone else.

This War Machine DLC is arguably better than the first, with two out of three general multiplayer maps adding inspiration and excitement to the game, a new halfway decent War map, and a fun Nazi zombies experience, but only just.

So, like many others over the years, War Machine is a serviceable DLC map pack and nothing more. There isn't anything here that alters the dynamics of the gameplay, no new modes or ideas – just good, solid environments in which to do the same kind of battling you've been doing for years.

The War Machine is a DLC that is worth paying. The new maps will be granted to be a pleasant experience, therefore, they can reach high levels of frustration due to the number of options that bad players can use to make camping. Operation Husky is the best you can get in this DLC, while The Shadow Throne is a little disappointing because of the lack of scary moments.

Second DLC is a right time to return to Call of Duty: WWII, if you currently are on a break from this title. The number of maps is still growing and most of them are quite great, not to mention new secrets in Zombie mode.

Despite shaking things up a bit with the introduction of aerial combat to multiplayer, The War Machine is essentially no better or worse than most other Call of Duty expansions; there's a handful of decent maps, each with their own pros and cons, and another stab at the lumbering undead, but ultimately it all boils down to how much you like the core gameplay loop of the game and wish for more of the same.

A flash or two of brilliance, weighed down into the vast lake of mediocrity by a few boring decisions and one downright clunker.

Sledgehammer delivers yet another bulging kit bag of fresh content for Call of Duty: WWII, offering up great War and Zombies episodes, as well as a particularly strong selection of multiplayer maps.

Call Of Duty: WWII’s second DLC helping, The War Machine delivers in content and diversity in more ways than the previous one. It offers the always entertaining zombie mode a new map to run around and play in, but also manages to introduce new elements into the already fresh War Mode with the latest map. Coupled with events that seem to occur every few weeks and a wonderfully varied array of multiplayer map, fans will be coming back to The War Machine’s content again and again.

Dropping in like a hard-earned supply drop is Call Of Duty: WWII’s second expansive DLC pack, The War Machine. In this second helping of DLC content, Sledgehammer Games have introduced three new multiplayer maps, an new operation for the objective-orientated War Mode and hell continues to ensue in a brand new Nazi Zombies chapter. Although this expansion will no doubt test your patience with frustratingly dysfunctional spawn points, it also breathes a refreshed ambience into the franchise as we see two new settings make their way onto the playlists of the shooter series popular online multiplayer.
