The overall package is an attractive one and there plenty in it, so the end result is fun, but I would like to see a few more chances taken with the engine or formula in the future.

This year's installment of digital WWE action helps the franchise climb to the position of an upper-mid card talent.

WWE 2K19 struggles to meet expectations. It's a mid-card talent with potential, but is too set in its ways to leave any lasting impact.

It isn't perfect, but the experience has been worth the investment. WWE 2K19 has successfully pivoted the franchise in a better direction and should be enough to restore hope and faith moving forward.

WWE 2K19 has several noticeable improvements this year and an impressive character roster. The current MyCareer mode is a welcome addition to WWE 2K19, but it needs some tweaks to make it better. This is a fun wrestling game that nonetheless has some flaws holding it back, but at least now the future looks bright for it.

It is safe to say that WWE 2K19 takes the crown from its predecessor by giving another shot to the 2K Showcase and implementing several improvements in gameplay and sound design, and convinces the players to spend more time playing it; and although some issues are still remaining, WWE 2K series has the potential to become one of the best sports series in the coming years.

WWE 2K19 is not an incredible game but it's probably the best "WWE 2K" we have ever played. Despite of all of it's technical issues, lacking of proper soundtracks and other minor problem WWE 2K19 is an enjoyable game and a big improvement for the series. If you are a WWE fan, you shouldn't miss WWE 2K19

WWE 2K19 is not without issues, but I can't deny that I have fun stepping into the squared circle. It may not hold much appeal to non-wrestling fans, but for those who have been burned over the years, it finally feels like things are getting better. In traditional WWE fashion, I'm not sure how long this will last, though.

WWE 2K19 is 2K's best wrestling game in the last few years, with many good changes in comparison to prior games with an astounding amount of content. MyCareer mode's story, the Showcase mode and 2K Towers deliver a lot of content that, with the great in-ring action, entertains for a long time, specially for the promotion's fans.

WWE 2K19 can completely relay WWE's atmosphere. High customization with a lot of details, good story mode and good excitement are reasons why this game is one of the best WWE 2K games in the recent years. But technical issues in different parts of the game prevent WWE 2K19 to show its full potential.

They don't all come out a perfect ten, but WWE 2K19 has improved on its predecessor. Even if the changes are somewhat small, they do make a difference. Unfortunately, to fully enjoy MyCareer and CAW, a lot of content has to be unlocked via randomised loot-boxes or sheer dedication to earning in-game currency. Aside from over gate-keeping the unlockables, WWE 2K19 has a lot of content under its hood, which should keep any wrestling fan entertained for quite some time.

2K19 may not be the best wrestling game in WWE franchise but it provides players with a decent enough wrestling simulation that they will be appeased for the current year.

From the surprisingly varied and fun single player options to the customization suites that have come into their own and endless multiplayer, WWE 2K19 is a wrestling game that feels closer to how fans picture a "wrestling game" than the series has in several years. It isn't without its issues, but the efforts to keep this ship sailing are tangible here in ways I wasn't seeing in the recent past.

Thanks to key improvements and additions, WWE 2K19 is perhaps the most impressive game in the series in years. There are still issues that need sorting out, mostly on the technical side, while somewhat ageing mechanics and the microtransactions model also need to be given a bit more thought, but after years of stumbling around, 2K Sports at least have a very solid base to work with now.

WWE 2K19 is obviously best suited to wrestling fans, but if you are not a fan but looking for a fun game that you can enjoy during a night in with a bunch of mates, this game has got you covered.

Overall, this year's game is one of the better ones that I have played in years. With the inclusion of voice acting for your main character in career mode, to the showcase mode taking one of my favorite wrestlers, Daniel Bryan, and walking through his career, it makes for a really fun and good time. They really worked on making a lot of different modes for people to have a lot of fun with, and it seems to be working, for me at least.

WWE 2K19 is an incredibly comprehensive sandbox, offering the chance to run the show as you see fit and recreate just about anything you might have seen on TV, but long time fans of the franchise might well be disappointed by an unchanged combat system and a story mode held back by monetization tactics.

WWE 2K19 is the best this series has ever been. It's still not good enough.

The culmination of four years' hard work, WWE 2K19 is like Daniel Bryan's initial run in the WWE: four years of ups, downs, triumphs, failures, criticism, praise. But one thing truly stands out, and that is the hard work that it took to get to this point. WWE 2K19 is the best WWE game since SmackDown vs. Raw 2007. The necessary changes to gameplay that were made this year truly help this game to stand out the way it was supposed to. MyCAREER is now a complete mode, and WWE Universe is fun again. When push comes to shove, WWE 2K19 could be considered the magnum opus of the WWE 2K era of games and is indicative of what's to come in the future.
