Double Cross is a fun ride – it's a tough platformer with interesting characters that blends the futuristic feel of Mega Man with some of the classic elements of a great Mario game. Solving the mystery behind an attack on your base gives the game its own edge that makes it fun and engaging. Check it out!

With some better combat choices and animation this could have been a revolutionary release from 13AM Games, but even without that lofty goal it's a definite safe buy for anyone wanting a great new platformer.

Overall, Double Cross is a great meshing of different types of gameplay styles that I love. The action and the Adventure are very good for this type of platform game. It will definitely be fun for anyone who liked Mega Man or other types of adventure platformers.

While Double Cross doesn't break any new ground in game development, it regardless offers an honest and engaging adventure from start to finish. What this game does, it does well, providing excellent art direction, satisfying platforming, a sometimes humorous, sometimes heartbreaking story, and just enough exploration and customization to encourage repeated playthroughs. This action platformer – infused with a measured dose of RPG elements – delivers on exactly what it promises: a fun adventure for $20 or less.
