We all need games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and while I don't think it's perfect by any means, and some of the new elements this time around come at the expense of what made previous titles so wonderful, the winning charm is still there in full.

Thanks to new customization possibilities, a lot of classic charm and many QOL improvements, Animal Crossing: New Horizons stands as the best of the franchise so far. This game builds a community sense in different levels, something that we need at present time.

As in the past games, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is rich with culture, community, humour and charm. There's a reason why the series has such a dedicated fan base - and with such hype, there's always the worry that the expectations may not match reality. However, New Horizons exceeds expectations in every way! The perfect gateway game for many people and with added touches of magic, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the perfect for players old and new!

This latest Animal Crossing delivers the same charm and laidback fun that fans love. Plus, it provides more structure with its nifty Nook Miles system. In the end, this is a game that you'll be glad to pick up and play in short bursts for weeks, months, or even years.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the series’ return to fine form after five years of absence. The depth this game offers, on top of its pristine layer of polish, will keep players glued to their seats. This is the start of a vacation that will not be ending any time soon.

Things may start slow but once Animal Crossing: New Horizons gets going players will find themselves sucked into an idyllic world for potentially years to come, even if it is only for short periods of time each sitting.

As reiterated several times by Nintendo, Animal Crossing New Horizons is an "ode to relaxed gameplay". The new chapter of the famous Life Simulator series, in fact, shows a natural evolution of the excellent game mechanics offered by its predecessors going to file and improve a series of aspects that began to feel the weight of the years.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a beautiful game that is a charming distraction from the real world (despite me still owing over 100,000 bells to an entrepreneurial Tanuki). I don’t even think I have begun to scrape the surface but I am so excited for my island to flourish.

‎Still, it's cool that there's so much to discover. In essence, Animal Crossing New Horizons is still what you expect from such a game. Yet so much news is added to the recipe that you will put many hours into it again. Like previous installments, Animal Crossing New Horizons is definitely a title where you'll once again easily go through hundreds of hours of gameplay with a grin from ear to ear. You return with some regularity. One day hours, other days a few minutes. Just to stay connected to the game, its inhabitants and the many possibilities it offers.‎

The newest Animal Crossing is a relaxing game, specially for quarantine times. Although the tools mechanic definitely can be a chore and makes feel the game a little grindy, is a game you'll play every day in short bursts. Unless you wanna piss off Tom Nook.

Long waited and immediately in love. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a hit not only because of the acute pandemic in 2020, but because it is developed and enhanced with love. However, the game is not necessarily one that you can or should play on the side. It takes a lot of time, if you want to take everything with you. The online functions still need some "love" to finally work reliably, but that is not a problem of this game, but of the infrastructure behind it. From the makeover of the graphics to the soundtrack, everything here is just right and, except for a few small things that will hopefully be fixed or rebuilt in the future, almost perfectly done. Lean back, start your island life and chill through the day into the night and beyond. Animal Crossing: New Horizons and its ecosystem is almost masterful. So plug in the chargers, turn up the sound and go fishing... or catch insects... or look for shooting stars... or just go around in circles!

The idyllic island atmosphere works perfectly and Animal Crossing: New Horizons was launched with perfect timing during the corona crisis. Anyone who longs for a few hours in a healthy, beautiful, simple world could not ask for a better opportunity than stranding on the Island to make a few new virtual friends.

All in all, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a fantastic game and wonderful new entry to the series. For the most part, it does everything right and I highly recommend it to anyone who’s interested. If you’ve never played Animal Crossing before, keep your expectations in check, it’s not at all a fast paced game. It is extremely casual and even based on real time. So long as you keep your expectations in check, or you’re specifically looking for a casual game, then I most definitely recommend New Horizons. While I have already received my 3 star rating and gotten K.K. Slider to hold a concert, there’s plenty more I haven’t done yet. Fortunately, my more significant complaints weren’t enough to completely sour the experience and I look forward to playing for many more hours. With all that’s been going on in the world lately, it’s obvious that Animal Crossing New Horizons being delayed until March 2020 was the best thing that could’ve happened to it. It was well worth the wait and I’d almost believe it was destined to release when it did.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is above all a place of expression, relaxation and communication. An innocent fantasy of escape, made with great care, having the necessary design details to elevate it into a living, "warm" entity that will accompany us for a long time.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is an amazing successor. It has beautiful graphics, great gameplay and perfect music. Sometimes it lacks in certain aspects though and sadly, it also lacks in one big aspect, the co-op. It still is an almost perfect game, that we would recommend anyone, who loves relaxing games, and might need something calm in his life.
