WWE 2K20 Reviews

2K20 is packed with content and offers some of the best wrestling in the franchise. Throwing down in the ring has never felt better, and above all else makes you feel like the Superstars you know and love. 2K's Showcase mode feels like a love letter to Four Horsewomen fans, and you'll be more than entertained reliving some of those classic matches. That said, the MyPlayer mode needs another year of refinement before it can truly reach its high ambitions, and the online side of things needs to be fixed ASAP. For me, online play just isn't that important, and my experience has been relatively glitch-free outside of that, so if that describes you as well you won't be disappointed.

WWE 2K20 doesn't look good, some Wrestlers probably wouldn't even recognize themselves. It doesn't play well despite the old engine, it doesn't run well because of a immense amount of bugs and glitches. There's not much positive to mention about the newest WWE game, so fans should stay away from this one.

The debut of Visual Concepts alone with WWE 2K20 has not gone as well as we expected, with a very continuous title regarding modes and content, and with many flaws at the graphic level. But if you are a fan, you' ll find a game with a lot of content and many hours of fun.

WWE 2K20 is not "WWE 2K19 great", but it is an enjoyable experience for anyone looking for something new in the WWE world.

Ugly, unplayable, and filled with glitches, not even the biggest wrestling fan should pick up WWE 2K20 in its current state.

But there are far too many negatives in place here that disrupts all the good WWE 2K20 tries to deliver. Perhaps it’s time for another developer to try their hand at WWE’s video game efforts…

WWE 2K20 boasts as usual an exaggerated roster, and the ever-valid online community that generates alternative characters and costumes. A real strength, albeit limited, given that, at the moment, it is not possible to create customized belts (promised to arrive in a future update).

As it stands now, WWE 2K20 is in fact a faded copy of its predecessor.

It feels as if this was a rebuilding year for the WWE 2K franchise. While a few of the legacy strengths such as the creation suite are still strong, the most important part, the gameplay is in a bad place. The previous years’ version of a game shouldn’t play significantly better than the new title, but that’s the case with WWE 2K20.

WWE 2K20 plays like a work-in-progress demo that's yet to be stress-tested - but there's a decent game somewhere under the hot mess.

At its core, there is still a great deal of fun in playing WWE2K20, but the technical issues, poor visuals, and bad writing make this year an easy one to skip, especially if you’re still playing through WWE 2K19.

WWE2K20 left the gameplay behind while trying to focus on delivering diverse content, it's a technical disaster and a huge setback for the franchise.

So overall, while WWE 2K20 isn’t terrible, there’s no reason to pick it up if you already have WWE 2K19 in your games library. Not unless you like throwing money away, that is.

A huge letdown for fans of the series. If you want to play this regardless, we suggest you to wait until the game is patched properly.

The series is back up to its old tricks, the bad ones, as this new installment hosts a crazy number of glitches and annoyances. Some fun can be had playing with WWE’s toys, but the cost of entry seems steeper than ever this year.

I love the game that is bubbling under all the excess garbage. This year’s MyPlayer is pretty much what I would have liked to see before in the series, even though I had to play it with Plan B characters as photo uploading in-game didn’t initially work. Despite its crappy presentation, MyCareer is also endearing and inspiring.

While there’s plenty to do in WWE 2K20, it’s just too painful to bother trying right now.

I will be very interested to look at WWE 2K20 a year from now, after some massive updates, and featuring all modes. It’ll probably have the same ugly graphics, but let’s hope that this is a wake-up call to 2K games that they need to release a polished product. Some of us still like having our games on disc when we buy them.

WWE 2K20 is a buggy mess, but its gameplay also feels notably worse than previous years.
