Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 Reviews
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 is a love letter to the original games thanks to the easy to pick-up, hard to master gameplay. With a great deal of customization to boot and multiple multiplayer options, there is a ton of time to be spent here for a great price. Graphics could've been better at times, but that almost doesn't even matter because you'll be way more focused on the phenomenal soundtrack.

To this day I still love venturing back and playing the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 games. Almost a year ago now I was fortunate enough to get to review the amazing remaster of the first two games on the PS4 which can be found here. I’ve also since upgraded this version to the PS5 ultimate eye-candy edition. Hubba hubba.
Overall, the game itself plays very much like before. But with the added extras and better visuals the package as a whole is fantastic value for gamers who have never tried a Tony Hawk game before and will be very appealing to those old school players who want to step back in with their on-the-go handheld.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is the remake of one (or two) complete experiences from past generations of video games, refining what had already worked very well and adding new modes that make the experience much more pleasurable and less tiring. Its controls are nimble; its maneuvers, diverse; and its rewards are fair. For those who can endure a bit the performance problems, somethin so important in fast-paced action games like this, Switch is an excellent choice, giving the opportunity to carry the world's skaters in your backpack.

As far as remakes go, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 absolutely hits the mark with what it was trying to accomplish. The controls are tight and a great evolution of past games, and it plays incredibly smoothly thanks to some sacrifices made on the visual front. Sure, it’ll look better on other consoles, but the Switch is the only console you’ll be able to actually bring to the skatepark with you. The soundtrack still bangs, even with the new additions, and the roster’s attention to inclusivity with its additions is a welcome change
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, known as Tony Hawk’s Skateboarding in Australia, first saw the light of day in 1999 on Sony’s first PlayStation console. It was also subsequently ported to a handful of platforms such as N64 and hell even the Nokia’s N-Gage (remember that phone/portable console hybrid?). The goal of the THPS series is pretty simple: throw players into a 3D environment and have them pull off crazy scores and complete objectives as real-life pro skateboarders. The game was met with critical acclaim which prompted Activision to start producing more games in the series by releasing a new game every year from 2000 to 2002.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 is a smooth classic. The return of the original skaters with a handful of new characters makes it unique. It ticks every box for a solid remake and continues to impress the more you play.
While the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 package is by no means a revolutionary new game, it still offers a complete skateboarding package that can provide many hours of gameplay depending on how much you get into it.
The classics are here, all gleamed up for the current gen of consoles. If you’re dropping in now, you’re in for a treat. But if you bought last gen’s standard version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, be mindful of that crafty upgrade cost.
The work done by Vicarious Visions is of the highest quality with the team that has managed to bring back two titles that have marked the history of the 90s, giving them a dimension worthy of these times. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is not only an excellent title in terms of gameplay, which will lead players to play it and replay it non-stop, but also a very good product under the graphic and technical sides, managing to make users to live an immersive experience in the atmospheres and minds of skaters. There is something for everyone from the challenges to the skate park creation system, from multiplayer to the possibility of breaking record after record with triks, in conclusion the title is a product of absolute quality.

Not spectacular, but enough fun to be worth the price of admission.
ony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 Remastered is a return to the past, a small gift for all those players who enjoyed the phenomenon that occurred with the saga at the end of the 90s. There’s nothing new here, but that isn’t what this is about. It’s about appreciating the foundation that would spawn so many games after it and a whole new genre, before ultimately meeting that brick-wall which the quality just wasn’t able to escape. These games feel like their in the right hands now with the crew over at Vicarious Visions. Let’s hope they get a chance to show the world what they can do with a brand new outing. I’m almost afraid to wish for a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 6… but maybe it’s time. Maybe.
A nostalgic trip made right the frenetic action of this skating game is top notch. The Soundtrack is spectacular as it was all those years ago, although by today standards it feels a tad short is pure joy to ride your skateboard.

After the thunderous success that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 had 20 years ago, a remaster arrives that makes anyone go back in time and relive the same fun they experienced at the time. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 is a phenomenal and simply fantastic remaster, thanks to its fluidity, new additions, and soundtrack. Vicarious Visons' best decision was to go back in time and recover this work of art in the world of video games.

2020 has undeniably been the year of the remake. The year where game developers and publishers across the world have said, if you grew up in the ’90s, we are going to take your fondest gaming memories and rebuild them.. in 4K. Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1+2 makes zero apologies, it is a true rebirth of a game loved by millions and follows a tried and tested formula. Playing with the nostalgic feelings of so many is a brave move from the partnership of Vicarious Visions and Activision themselves.
Playing Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 Remastered gave me the same feelings I got at 9 years old when I first played the series and fell in love with the game, the music, and skateboard culture.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 is a dream come true for any fan of this skateboarding legend. The developers have done a tremendous job by building the well-known levels from scratch, adding the shine and polish of the modern era. By doing so, they've created one of the best remakes ever made.
