Control Resonant Devs Reassure Fans That Trailer's Alleged Dialogue Issues Aren't A Cause For Concern

During February's PlayStation State of Play livestream, Control Resonant—Remedy's sequel to 2019's terrific Control—got a shiny new gameplay trailer. Running three minutes in length, the clips showcased many of the wild things players will be able to do in this significantly action-packed upcoming adventure.

The thing is, when most gaming sorts discuss Remedy, they talk first and foremost about their games' terrific narratives. This tends to include memorable scripts filled with rich dialogue (which, yes, can often be rather "pulp" in nature, but that's part of the glory of it all). There's a difference between the pulp which drips from Alan Wake, however, and whatever was going on with the dialogue in Control Resonant's big showing.

At least, that's what many prospective players have been saying on social media, and I kind of see their point. Well, there's been a response from the studio now, and it's... not really much of one, but it's something.
