Pokemon Pokopia has been a smash hit for Nintendo, snagging itself the title as the best-reviewed Pokemon game of all-time, and quickly endearing itself with fans of the series for its cutesy charm. It's essentially Animal Crossing, but unlike Animal Crossing, Nintendo seems like it's willing to actually support Pokopia for longer than two minutes, with a Hoppip event called 'More Spores for Hoppip'.
It was announced that the event will last for a little over two weeks, running from March 9, at 1 pm PDT until March 24, at 12:59 pm PDT, during which you'll be able to get Hoppip and its evolutions Skiploom and Jumpluff to settle down in your Pokémon utopia.
However, the event itself was met with pretty mixed reactions, with some people accusing Pokopia of attempting to capitalize on the fear of missing out, also known as FOMO. It's a pretty standard practice for live service games, having limited-time events to try and poke people into paying for something a lot sooner than they normally would.
