Fallout 5 Fans Concerned Following New Graphics Showcase

Fallout, as a series, is constantly in flux. There are new regions to visit and extra storylines to touch on, but fans are waiting with bated breath to see what Bethesda has cooking after the polarizing and somewhat sterile Fallout 4.

Sadly, fans are up in arms over a recent graphical showcase that directly touched on some Bethesda games. Based on fan fervor from communities like Reddit, fans are extremely concerned about the future of gaming.

This week, Nvidia showcased DLSS 5, an "AI-powered breakthrough in visual fidelity for games, which is coming later this year." While Nvidia is selling this as a way to magically make games look better, fans are mainly looking at the character models, and how they're utterly transformed by the tech.

In other words, many character models don't even look like the same person, and this tech seems to impact many AAA games, including Resident Evil Requiem, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and Starfield. Fans are concerned that Fallout 5 is next, although it will certainly be less jarring, as the retroactive DLSS 5 features on existing games make things look worse, particularly for character faces.
