You might have missed the fact that Kiln, a multiplayer brawler that has you spinning pots and then sending them off to fight each other, launched on Thursday. I can only assume you missed it because fewer than 200 of you picked up and took its virtual pottery wheels for a spin on release day.
Kiln peaked at 193 players on release day. Not great for any game, but especially one from a reputable studio, and a multiplayer-only title that's going to rely on a strong player base to make sure matchmaking goes off without a hitch. Right now, there are 35 people in-game on Steam. Early days, of course, but the early days are typically the ones when a new multiplayer game's player count is at its highest.
There's the weekend still to come, too, which, if a game that launches in the middle of the week isn't a hit right away, is when its numbers tend to spike.
