EA has confirmed that it is permanently shutting down yet another one of its games, with the servers shuttering later this year. EA keeps a running list of the games it is shutting down so that users know well in advance when any game's online services will become unavailable. This way, anyone interested can be sure to play the games before their servers are shut down just in case they want to get some last online multiplayer sessions in or unlock some of the online-only achievements that they may have yet to earn.
Pretty much every single month, one or more EA games are shut down. Take June, for instance. Later this month, Battlefield Hardline is permanently shutting down on consoles, meaning those on PlayStation and Xbox will no longer get to play the game's online multiplayer component. The good news with that particular shutdown is that the PC version of Battlefield Hardline will remain online for the foreseeable future, though one has to imagine that those servers will eventually be on the chopping block as well.
EA has had some stinkers over the years, but are these games really that bad? Your memory might betray you.
