AMD and Microsoft have teamed up to bring Advanced Shader Delivery across more gaming devices, which can cut load times and stuttering by up to 95% in a growing list of supported games. Advanced Shader Delivery is now supported on AMD graphics cards released in 2019 or later.
Although AMD has consistently lagged behind its chief competitor in the gaming GPU market, Nvidia, that has not stopped the tech giant from making an impact in the gaming industry. Earlier this year, AMD reported its largest financial quarter in the company's history, with a reported 38% year-on-year growth in revenue in Q1 2026. AMD's growth was fueled by demand for AI infrastructure. Given that AMD processors will be used in the upcoming PS6 and Xbox Project Helix consoles, AMD's gaming reach continues to grow.
