On June 18, Rockstar announced that GTA 6 pre-orders would start next Thursday, June 25. Coinciding with that announcement was the reveal of the game's cover, which retains the franchise's long-running collage format by arranging illustrated vignettes around the central logo. This cover style has been in use since GTA 3, originally released in October 2001.
The official White House account on X shared its own version of the GTA 6 cover within hours of the artwork's June 18 reveal. "We really saved America before GTA 6," the caption read, riffing on the popular "X before GTA 6" meme. In a statement to Kotaku, a Rockstar Games representative declined to comment on the post.
