Twinfinite's Reviews

Nov 14, 2019

Sure, fans of the television show will enjoy it, but considering it never really took off in the US, Doraemon Story of Seasons likely won’t appeal to too many gamers, unless you’re direly in need of any farm simulation game to fill the void.

For another option to add to the party game collection, you could do a lot worse, but Mario & Sonic’s new Olympics outing is not a game you’ll want to spend hours at a time with.

Cameron Waldrop

The best thing that can be said of Atelier Ryza is that it is accessible. Down to its core it is meant to be enjoyed by new players or by series veterans who might be looking for a nice light addition to the franchise.

The often dark campaign adds variety that introduces Call of Duty’s potential future and puts it up there with the best the series has ever seen; the multiplayer is as engrossing as ever, even though the poor map design causes some issues; and the Spec-Ops co-op is best avoided if you don’t have a competent and organized squad to play through with.

3.5 / 5.0 - Moons of Madness

Still, there is a lot here to recommend. Moons of Madness delivers, and like the best horror experiences doesn’t outstay its welcome, or let you become too comfortable with your surroundings.

3.5 / 5.0 - Afterparty
Oct 28, 2019

I’ve no doubt that many that loved Oxenfree will also be on board for this ride to hell, as its setting, characters, and dialogue are enough to warrant a playthrough for anyone who likes a narrative focus. At the end of the day though, Afterparty will leave many with a bit of a hangover, wondering if there was more that could have been done with the drinking system and its branching narrative.

There are some shortcomings here and there but if you are a die-hard Luigi’s Mansion fan, you will adore this game. Heck, even if you’ve never played a game in the series and you own a Switch, do yourself a favor and check this one out.

3 / 5.0 - Dark Devotion

It can be downright crushing, and more than a few people will probably be turned off by it. For those who stick with it though, or go into the experience fully prepared for a challenging experience, there are elements seeing and getting lost in.

2.5 / 5.0 - Little Town Hero
Oct 24, 2019

Little Town Hero is a classic case of “has potential, but woefully executed,” and that really sucks to say when it seems to have so much going for it on the surface.

As a more compact Fallout-like experience The Outer Worlds really works, and I’m already hoping that we’ll get to return to the Halcyon Colony again someday.

The Fisherman – Fishing Planet is a tough sell for anyone who has poured time and money into their previously released free to play game, Fishing Planet. However, for newcomers to the series that want to jump in, The Fisherman – Fishing Planet is a good place to start with a reasonable asking price that offers some of the most authentic fishing experiences you can find.

Simulation & farming fans will likely want to skip this title, unless they are dying for something new to play until a notable game in the genre is released.

If you are a JRPG fan, this series is a must-play. It’s one of the strongest running, second only to Persona in my opinion. It’s funny, charming, engaging, and occasionally heartbreaking. And it’s absolutely worth the investment.

All in all, Ghost Recon Breakpoint offers a lot of content and fans of the series will be satisfied for the most part. Breakpoint attempts to push the series forward but often feels stuck in the mud from its own systems.

While it might be a little conservative and still suffer from pitfalls that held back previous games in the series, Trine 4 is one of the best puzzle-platformers you’ll play this generation.

As of right now, Shadowkeep is a mix of hits and misses and feels a bit incomplete in certain areas. It does just enough though to keep the dedicated player invested while they wait for more content to trickle out throughout the year.
