Whether it’s with three friends on the couch or with strangers online, Tricky Towers is, in every way, better as a party game
I felt more like I was being told a pretty boring story with sub-par pictures rather than becoming a criminal mastermind who got away with murder
Despite the lack of originality on display, each mode is quite a bit of fun. Bringing a few friends over and throwing on a game of Blade Ballet is far from a bad idea. Actually, I dare say it would be a fine choice
No Man’s Sky doesn’t beat you around the head with lore. It doesn’t have the veritable library of fluff that seems prevalent in most RPGs nowadays. It lets you discover its secrets for yourself and the result is that it’s a far more rewarding game for it
Although [Near Death] technically isn't a horror game, it hits many of the same emotional beats… It's a Hitchcockian sort of horror derived from tension
Battles fly by and the flashy skill/magic attacks are a lot of fun to pull off… every single battle leads to genuine rewards
The potions can help you or seriously hurt you, but I choose to drink them all…every time; that game of Russian Roulette is too fun to pass up

The game plays host to a wide variety of stages and modifiers that can all be carried over to multiplayer, which allows for the creation of some really unique races
While every defeat is crushing, each victory is absolutely invigorating. The promise of such satisfaction upon reaching the end of a dungeon drives you to press onward
Even prior to launching a match, the visual presentation of Chambara commands your attention
It's easy to say that Batman: The Telltale Series Episode 1 – Realm of Shadows is one of Telltale's best first episodes yet
Similar to a good RPG, any time spent with Riptide GP: Renegade is not wasted, even in defeat
It is a shame that every level is so well done and all required so much work, in terms of visual and audio presentation, that it means there are so few levels overall
The trouble with Hyper Light Drifter is that it's frequently just too obscure and too difficult to truly enjoy
The best word I can use is probably ‘clunky’, but putting it rather bluntly, Dungeon Punks controls as well as a dead horse
The graphics, music and story of the game are part of what really makes Zombie Night Terror a puzzle game that sticks out to me
For all the eye-rolling curses, however, when a stage comes together with just the right amount of clever construction and fair fights, one can see the promise inside Wind-up Knight 2
Like with so many Nintendo platformers, the controls and physics are so rock solid that the mere acts of running and jumping making playing a pleasure
