No matter what event type you find yourself in, the graphics are average at best, which makes the poor performance during the Freeride and Waypoint events baffling
One of Need For Speed's most successful aspects is its car customisation, which is both deep yet easy to use
The fact that everyone is, once again, a complete newbie is refreshing; we all get to enjoy those small victories of completing a song on 100% for the first time again, and relive the satisfying achievement of moving up to the next difficulty level
Wasteland 2: Director's Cut is a great game, but it's not for everyone due to its steep learning curve
There is one untarnished, shining star in this cold and lonely place though. The soundtrack. The rockabilly tunes are just too damn good
Swinging a weapon in this game is about as action packed as watching a plastic bag whisk itself around a car park, and about as floaty too
Complementing the slick presentation is an excellent soundtrack, composed especially for the game by Jesper Kyd. The music is dark and atmospheric and fits the overall tone perfectly
As a trade-off for the improved framerate the streets are never quite as busy in London as they were in Assassin's Creed Unity's Paris and there aren't as many explorable interiors, but it's a price well worth paying
If the first paragraph of padding wasn't a big enough giveaway, its easy to see that there isn't a huge amount to say about Black and White Bushido
As a pure no-nonsense rally game, WRC 5 succeeds by having responsive and convincing handling as well as options such as realistic damage to make the experience authentic
Don't get me wrong. Episode 5 is still good; it's still Life is Strange. I was just left with a bit of a sour taste in my mouth
Played at the right time in the evening, you'll get the right mix of dark visuals blending in with the beautiful, contemplative soundtrack that accompanies the game… it makes being a little spider feel like an existential, out-of-body trip
Prison Architect does have a campaign mode (if you can call it that), but it's a bit subsided… where it does shine though is in its storytelling
The amount of detail in the world is fantastic. It is filled with rusted drainpipes and broken machinery and shiny new lifeforms
Whilst Disgaea features many unique-looking characters that benefit from a HD makeover, the backgrounds and locations are lacking any real finesse and make the game feel fairly dated
So with fast music, you want a fast game. And boy, you get a fast game
There's nothing more satisfying than hearing the tell-tale victory cackle of a thief and being able to turn to your friend and tell them to suck it
To further extend replayability after the first few chapters your roster of playable Autobots expands to encompass Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Wheeljack, and Grimlock
Building up your characters is quite a fun process, and adds a great deal of depth to an otherwise shallow game
If you think some of the characters feel overpowered; it's not your imagination. The developers have previously had problems with characters being unbalanced on the first Arcana Heart game and Arcana Heart 2, releasing numerous patches to fix the issues
