Fights happen quickly and can get out of control rapidly if you're up against more than a few enemies at a time
[Californium] did get challenging at times, and I would be lying if I said I didn't rage quit once or twice, but in the end the reward for finishing was worth it.
Players that don’t care about leaderboard scores or bonus levels will run through Action Henk in a matter of hours… to be honest though, they’d be playing it entirely wrong. The real joy of Action Henk and what makes it so addictive is the pursuit of earning gold
It's simple, but simplicity can be handled in a classy way and I think that Soul Axiom does a great job with something pretty barebones
For the majority of the game, the difficulty continues to be a non-existent challenge. Then there’s act 4-4; the last level. Suddenly everything is turned up to 1
Far Cry Primal's map is absolutely huge, and is literally teeming with objective markers and missions. I challenge even the most ardently focused of players to travel to their intended location without getting sidetracked on the way
Whether it be from lack of supplies or enemies after your sweet juicy flesh; there is always something guaranteed to go badly each game
We Are Doomed is a game that keeps you paying attention throughout by appearing to be quite simple, but in fact is very difficult to completely master
Pixel Piracy is difficult to get into: there is a lot to be learned and lots to remember; namely getting to grips with the vast inventory system and mastering how to keep the crew in check
Megadimension Neptunia VII isn't at all mega, but it is quite possibly the best playing entry in the series yet. Whilst that's a prospect that is sure to bring a smile to the faces of those fond of Nep Nep, it's likely to set no one else's world on fire
[The Town of Light is] a game that tries to open people's eyes to the very real problem of mental health
You'll get the most that Layers of Fear can offer you when you're brave enough to delve into all of its nooks and crannies
With 32 initial levels, 12 challenges, and plenty of opportunity to unlock further maps on Endless mode, the game doesn't just end when you've completed the story
Tales from the Borderlands can easily compete against the hottest contenders on TV, not just on account of its writing, but also its cinematic beauty
Despite all of its problems, there is still a fun experience to be had with Doors
Remember when you mindlessly ran over throngs of pedestrians on GTA 'just because'? Now you can do that with zombies!
The simplistic nature of the combat system means that fights, though enjoyable, can become quite repetitive
[Ninja Senki DX] succeeds to replicating what's already been done, which is fine, but it fails to be a classic in its own right
It's a shame [more difficult] fights are so few and far between as it is where the tactics and strategy of the genre really shine
…Finally climbing up the stairs and seeing what awaited in the final minutes of the game should have been exhilarating… but rather it felt like somebody had just let all the air out of a shiny birthday balloon, deflating with a disappointing fart
