The Final Station is a compelling game, being just short enough to not overstay it’s welcome. It feels a lot like Cloverfield, never truly showing you what exactly has happened to make the world like it is, but hinting at plenty of possible explanations. Bits of story gleaned from conversations and notes kept me intrigued, and the simple combat was enough to lend some excitement and action to the experience. I was able to finish the game in a single sitting without ever feeling particularly bored. The biggest negative aspect of the game is that it doesn't bring anything new to the table gameplay-wise.
Virginia takes you on an unforgettable, incomprehensible journey.
Dear Esther has grand ambitions. On one hand, these were achieved. On the other, Dear Esther never reaches it full potential and results in a game that’s good, not great.
To sum up, Zenith is a game that everyone should give a go. It's charming, funny and just well made in general. Don't let the classic RPG setting fool you, Zenith is one for the books.
Mount & Blade: Warband is one of the most unique experiences available on PS4. It's a game that people will overlook due to the slightly out dated graphics, but for those that do take the plunge, a polished and addictive gem awaits them.
Don't start this game if you value relationships, your job, your social life, and having free time. Stardew Valley will take all of that away from you, but it's okay because it's a great game!
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice does everything you’d expect from a sequel, and whilst some issues from the past linger you’ll be too engrossed to be bothered. A great instalment for series fans and newcomers alike.
A.W. Phoenix Festa does a decent enough job at transferring the characters and setting of the anime to the Vita but does a terrible job of explaining those things for newcomers. The combination of dating sim and battling works well but no individual part excels.
Road to Ballhalla is a lot of fun, with a great visual style and soundtrack, let down by a unenjoyable difficulty level.
Metrico+ is one of the more unique puzzle experiences on the PlayStation 4, but it's quirky nature never detracts from the addictive puzzle design. This is a solid experience from start to finish.
Verdict: A sequel only by sight, Lovely Planet Arcade is too frustrating to be enjoyable despite its pedigree.
Grow Up is an excellent sequel that builds on a strong foundation to make a spectacular game. If you liked Grow Home, you’ll want to play this too.
An average game that does what it does well, however a price tag way too high, low populated servers and annoying enemies means I can not in good conscience recommend this to anyone. Avoid this game!
Tons of fetch quests, far too much time spent away from the theme park, and forcing the role playing out of RPG, it’s still a fun addition - if you don’t mind playing it evil.
Beautiful and full of surprises. The colourful and jaw-dropping vistas and experiences in ABZU will stick with you for a long time. Just like Journey did.
An uttering fantastic game, Dragon Quest Heroes is more then deserving of your time. If you like hack n' slash games, do not pass this one up!
Definitely a worthwhile game to pick up if you’re even remotely interested, featuring a really solid story and combat, this is a time sink and a half of content. Throw in the variations of combat style of the six melee and four ranged weapons and you’ll have a blast against the likes of Vajra, Hannibal and Quadriga! Now to jump into it and lose my life for the hunt
The Devil's Daughter is a collection of minigames sewn together with a very questionable story, but that manages to keep the player amused for the duration of the game. Particularly given the atmosphere crafted in every detail of London and the deduction mechanics, the game will often make you feel like Sherlock.
BOID is a strategy game that is bare-bones in terms of content, but what it has is exceptionally well-polished.
A generic, bland but functional SHMUP whose technical issues make it unenjoyable and tedious to actually play.
