Magic: The Gathering Arena is an excellent entry point into the twenty-six-year-old franchise for new players and lovable for veteran players as well. While it's generally a very fun experience, it's not without technical issues.

6.7 / 10.0 - Shenmue III
Dec 5, 2019

I'm disappointed with this game, it has perfectly kept the spirit of the original Shenmue but in doing so has not brought any of the new innovations of the industry. It hasn't advanced its own formula and has instead opted to create the game as I imagine it was first designed back in the early 2000s. If they make a Shenmue 4 I sincerely hope they take more risks and don't just make a carbon copy of what they've done before.

For a brawler type game, Tokyo Ghoul: re Call to Exist is okay. The controls seem pretty stiff and gameplay gets repetitive fast. It has everything a brawler normally has but doesn't bring anything unique to set itself apart.

Construction Simulator 2 is a surprise package wrapped in hours of content that has depth, enjoyment and a sense of accomplishment to complete which I really wasn't expecting for this price point. That being said (in case it isn't obvious by now...) I would enjoy Construction Simulator 2 even more if I didn't have the steering difficulty on a Nintendo Switch. On top of this, the art and environmental design of the whole game really makes for a realistic experience I think anyone who plays this game is going to be pleasantly surprised by.

8 / 10.0 - EarthNight
Dec 3, 2019

Simple, yet sophisticated platformer that keeps you coming back for more. EarthNight is a highly addictive platformer with great progression caked in. While this review was done on PC, it is easily a must have for mobile platforms.

Revelations is a great first expansion for AOW: Planetfall. What it adds is well polished and allows for more variety in your playstyle. My only wish is that the Heritors or the Forgotten were a new faction instead of a tech/NPC respectively.

7.5 / 10.0 - Need for Speed Heat
Nov 29, 2019

Overall Need for Speed Heat was a fully enjoyable game with many features that help keep the game from getting stale or boring. With the ability to use Studio App to design cars on your mobile and import into the game, customizing your in-game character you can make adjustments for hours. I would highly recommend NFSH to anyone that loves a good street racer game that just wants to get a nice ride and have fun.

Chikara Action Arcade Wrestling is a game you pick up and play for a few hours in short bursts that you have fun with but spend hours if not days fine tuning your custom creations. The game really wants you to just have fun with it and not take it too seriously. In that aspect I think it's safe to say they succeeded.

8 / 10.0 - Bee Simulator
Nov 26, 2019

Overall, my experience with Bee Simulator has been very positive. As someone whose father owns bees, it was cool to see things from the inside of the hive. Flying around and see things from a bee's perspective was also a very cool thing to play out. The game is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC for $39.99 USD.

Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition is a small piece of nostalgia with some modern improvements to get you ready for the upcoming title from Relic Games. The developer's main focus has been visuals and it's definitely succeeded, though some issues still remain from the original core of the game.

The Sims 4: Discover University is jam packed with new features that offer hours of continuous fun - if you can find them. The college vibe in all the art assets given is on point along with the fashion statements and customization.

8.5 / 10.0 - Mary Skelter 2
Nov 20, 2019

Mary Skelter 2 is a wonderful, first-person dungeon-romping adventure RPG. Even if you're not an anime fan you'll find some delightful and fun characters here to enjoy. The game is packed with things to manage and a few gameplay doldrum avoiders in "Jail Trails" and puzzles encountered along the way. The beautiful character drawings and voice acting can be enjoyed equally well at home or on the go!

6 / 10.0 - Moons of Madness
Nov 20, 2019

Moons of Madness capitalizes on the Lovecraftian principles that made The Secret World such a great game. Unfortunately, the game play itself can feel tedious, and overly detailed in all the wrong ways.

Children Of Morta is a nice, story-driven action RPG that plays very well on the Nintendo Switch, especially in undocked mode. The hurdle is getting past the pixel art graphics. You'll either not like them, and skip over this game, or embrace them and be treated to a hefty action RPG and story-driven experience.

7 / 10.0 - The Beast Inside
Nov 18, 2019

Overall I was very impressed by The Beast Inside not only for the visual aspects but also for the story of how the game was developed and came to be.  This game was started on Kickstarter and within a reasonable amount of time reached its goals and then some. There is defiantly a few scenes that will stay in my memory, that aside everything is going to be rather memorable. Sure enough, I will be playing The Beast Inside a few more times over to see all the little things that I might have missed. I would give this game a solid 7 out of 10.

If you are looking for a quintessential Star Wars experience that does not outright saddle you with power, but makes you take the journey to earn and respect that power, Jedi: Fallen Order is worth the time spent in a galaxy far, far away.

Thief Of Thieves: Season One almost seems like a game of many faces. Is it a stealth game, or a point-and-click adventure game or the next Telltale Games' successor? There's no fault in trying to be all three things. Unfortunately, this Nintendo Switch port created some flaws that make total enjoyment difficult. The biggest being the blurry graphics, especially when docked and played on a monitor. Nevertheless, avid comic book fans will find the motivation to push ahead just to see the lovely comic book art and hear these loved characters given form by some great voice acting!
