IGN Italy's Reviews

May 12, 2017

Despite being more than 10 years old, LocoRoco is still a beautiful and entartaining game, thanks to a deep gameplay, a brilliant level design and a relaxed atmosphere. The remastered is not that perfect (low-res cutscenes, a new – luckily, optional – motion-control system that is not so accurate), but fortunately LocoRoco aged very well.

6.9 / 10.0 - OVIVO
May 12, 2017

A nice game for people who like minimalistic puzzle-platformers.

7.5 / 10.0 - Strafe
May 9, 2017

Strife hides a merciless challenge behind his well crafted Nineties costume. Not only old-style FPS lovers can find death on Icarus but also who's searching for a demanding moment of pure gore. Perhaps different levels of difficulty could have expanded the audience.

9.1 / 10.0 - Prey
May 6, 2017

Prey means deep space, and deep gameplay. A huge space station hides thousands of game mechanics and dynamics ready to be explored by the solitary player. Its warfare is not infinite nor predestined, but makes part of a bigger picture, a bigger game, where gameplay means much more than gunplay.

Despite its ingenious puzzles, some good ideas and fun boss battles, World to the West fails in many aspects, such as story, exploration, and atmosphere. As if it wasn't enough, there are also some bugs, translation errors and unclear suggestions, which certainly do not help. However, it's still a title that fans of puzzle games and Teslagrad will probably enjoy.

What Remains of Edith Finch is a masterful piece of storytelling: well told, heartbeaking, and its variety of styles compensates the lack of interactivity.

7.5 / 10.0 - Flinthook
May 2, 2017

Colorful, cheerful and fun, Flinthook is not only a joy to look at, but above all also a blast to play. Too bad for its uncompromising difficulty and its poor balancing, that prevent this roguelike-platformer from becoming the next cult classic on the indie scene.

7.9 / 10.0 - TumbleSeed
May 2, 2017

Tumbleseed is smart and charming and really challenging. Almost too challenging.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is not realistic like ARMA III, but if you're looking for a first-person shooter with a tactical soul and an open-world setting, you'll be satisfied.

5 / 10.0 - Syberia 3
Apr 26, 2017

We didn't actually need Syberia 3: a senseless tryout for bringing a perfectly closed serie back in the spotlight. Syberia 3, with its mediocre (disappointing) narration and its poor technical design, should have remained Microïds' secret wish.

Not a bad sequel, but the first chapter is still better.

9.5 / 10.0 - Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Apr 24, 2017

The best Mario Kart game ever is back... even better, with a Battle Mode that has finally been fixed. Playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe anywhere, anytime is (almost) priceless.

8 / 10.0 - Outlast II
Apr 24, 2017

If you liked Outlast, you will definitely love this sequel, which, though not perfect, is one of the most terrifying experiences ever.

8 / 10.0 - Puyo Puyo Tetris
Apr 24, 2017

Puyo Puyo Tetris is the not so trival encounter between two iconic puzzle game legends: a crossover full of options and possibilities that works well played alone, but becomes an absolute blast when played with friends (and therefore a perfect match for Nintendo Switch).

7 / 10.0 - The Silver Case
Apr 22, 2017

After being released exclusively for PlayStation in the Japanese market in 1999, Goichi Suda's visual novel crosses over to the West. In its PS4 edition, it is also enriched with two new chapters. A mature and interesting script and an excellent soundtrack are the strong suit of this otherwise slow paced game, with a weird and clumsy control interface.

8 / 10.0 - Cities: Skylines
Apr 21, 2017

Complex and demanding, Cities: Skylines is a solid and engaging city-builder ported quite well on Xbox One.

8.3 / 10.0 - Little Nightmares
Apr 21, 2017

A twisted fairy tale that dwells in the grotesque and in the macabre, Little Nightmares is a narrative platformer that you will eventually remember for its fascinating atmosphere (and its remarkable graphics and audio design) rather than for its gameplay.

Maybe, Dawn of War 3 isn't the greatest entry in the saga, but it's damn close. A great RTS in its own rights, it lacks a bit of content and some gameplay adjustments to truly climb above its storied predecessors.

Wonder Boy: The Dragons Trap is a shining example of a remake done right. This is both a love letter to the original and a way to bring in the present an undervalued gem.

You'll still enjoy this graphic adventure 22 years after its release, but if compared to other LucasArts games Full Throttle is aged less well.
