Supergiant Games just gave us another gem: despite some verbose sections and the amount of text to read (that can be overwhelming at times), Pyre has a sophisticated art direction, a compelling and charming story, and an original and unique take on the RPG genre.

Vicarious Visions did a great job in preserving the original vibe of the Bandicoot saga while giving a brand new contemporary look to the games. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is a great journey through the PSX age without the aging effect, and it's a solid comeback for Crash. The three platform games are still fun today, and Warped is as amazing as it was almost 20 years ago. Maybe the design of the first, iconic, chapter is a little bit old-fashioned, but overall the collection has a great value both for nostalgic players and newcomers.

MotoGP is basically Valentino Rossi: The Game without The Italian Doctor. The game still works, and it's still fun, but it seems like the devs are waiting for the next year to finally bring the series into a new era.

MXGP3 is a transitional chapter in the motocross saga from Milestone. The potential is huge, but the debut of the Unreal Engine 4 in the game is quite disappointing. The new handling model is largely amendable, and the AI is worse than the previous chapters. Overall MXGP3 is a fun game, but surely not the best in the series.

Beat Cop is an intriguing and entertaining re-imagining of the police TV shows of the ’80s, with a clever design, some action and lot of choices for the player. There are always too many things to do, and too little time to do them, and as any real cop knows, boredom is part of the process.

The new chapter of this legendary beat'em up saga is bigger, bolder and faster: with a new graphics engine, new characters, new combat tecniques and tons of new game modes, it's definitely a must-have for every virtual fighter out there. Endless Space 2 is the best videogame ever developed by Amplitude Studios. It's a 4X strategic game with a deep (and unusual, for this kind of productions) storyline and an almost flawless gameplay.

The Trackmania formula is still a winner, but this is definitely not the best offering around: at the same price, you could play the much better Trackmania 2 Canyon or, if you're looking for the whole experience, the complete collection (at double the price) will give you everything.

Birthdays the Beginning could be the love child of Minecraft and Spore, evolution merged with sandbox in its purest form. It's an interesting idea, at least in theory, but you're gonna need a lot of patience and dedication to fully appreciate it.

Farpoint makes you truly feel like a badass space marine, like no other game before. It's a pretty short experience, the gameplay is pretty basic and the bundle with the Aim Controller it's not cheap. But it's one hell of a ride.

Portal Knights is the perfect opportunity if you're willing to get close to the universe of Minecraft & C., or if you're looking for something a little bit more complex than mere resource gathering and building. The RPG component is pretty thin, but deep enough to offer different approaches to the game. Thumbs up.

The Surge is not Dark Souls little brother, nor it wants to be. It's definitely a souls-like, but with its own personality, some nice level design ideas, and a storyline that won't disappoint you.
