7 / 10.0 - Brawlout
Jan 21, 2018

Brawlout is a fine smashlike for Nintendo Switch, though has got some pretty evident flaws.

8 / 10.0 - Nantucket
Jan 19, 2018

Nantucket is one of the first surprises of this 2018, thanks to the mix between RPG mechanics and strategic elements, and is also Herman Melville's heir.

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory brings back too many elements from its predecessor, and in the end it feels like the developers forgot to give their new creature a personality of its own.

7 / 10.0 - Romancing SaGa 2
Jan 16, 2018

Romancing SaGa 2 makes its debut in EU after the '93 release with new HD graphics, but the port is the same we saw on mobile devices.

8 / 10.0 - Furi
Jan 11, 2018

Furi is still awesome on Nintendo Switch. You might be better play with a controller, though.

7.3 / 10.0 - The Escapists 2
Jan 11, 2018

This action puzzle, now avaiable on Nintendo Switch console, is the same - funny - title released on other platforms some months ago. Very good, indeed. [OpenCritic note: Marcello Paolillo separately reviewed the PS4 (7.5) and Switch (7) versions. Their scores have been averaged.]

Doki Doki Literature Club is a visual novel that clearly does not open to a vast audience and that does not appear as the title that everyone will love. It is important to take into account the strong narrative component, which is different from what we are used to in the mainstream videogame: the visual novel urges us to sit down - or lay down, as you prefer - and read, read and read again, keeping the same image static in the background.

A simply but funny puzzle game based on symmetry, developed by Gamera Interactive (Unit 4 and the highly anticipated Alaloth: Champions of the Four Kingdoms). Not bad at all.

If you're a fan of visual novels and enjoy reading a story you can safely get Mask of Truth; the gamers who are actually looking for a challenge and don't care for the plot should probably look somewhere else instead.

8 / 10.0 - Megaton Rainfall
Jan 2, 2018

Megaton Rainfall is based on a simple yet intriguing concept: making us feel like gods capable of flying at a super-high speed. And it succeeds in doing so. This, along with its refined and fresh gameplay, makes the game easy to recommend to anyone who has a Playstation VR.

6 / 10.0 - Sparc
Dec 31, 2017

Sparc is a fresh and entertaining vSport that resembles the old classic Pong; homewever, the fun isn't long lasting because of the little content the game has to offer.

7 / 10.0 - Bleed
Dec 28, 2017

Bleed on Switch works fine and seems originally designed for this new console. After four years, the game is still engaging, but 15 euros for a game that can be bought at 99 cent on Steam is a very bad marketing choice.

8.5 / 10.0 - Finding Paradise
Dec 26, 2017

Thanks to a very good story, Finding Paradise is another masterpiece from Kan Gao. Different from To The Moon, this new game explores the great themes of human nature, and it's absolutely unforgettable.

The Curse of Osiris lives on highs and lows: on the one hand the quality of the contents, on the other the quantity, too small to represent a consistent introduction capable of shifting the balance.

Sky Force Reloaded is a solid if unremarkable vertical shoot'em up, that capitalizes on the absence of similar titles on both Microsoft and Sony marketplaces. We had fun with it, expecially with a friend locally, but that doesn't mean it is perfect. Still, a reasonable choice for fans of the genre.

Mario Party: The Top 100 wants to prove that minigames can stand by themselves, but fails in doing so; its minigames, lacking the classic party mode, become boring after a while, and the game is only truly recommandable to those who have three friends ready to join them in this far from perfect blast from the past.

The last episode of Life is Strange: Before the Storm is awesome. It resonates in the characters of Chloe and Rachel, building a story on few very strong topics.

The new mechanics are interesting and can give a good breath of freshness to the game, bringing back into vogue all the classes. The problem remains of having an adventure that is an end in itself, that does not give any kind of reward and a card design that is not always on point, compared to previous expansions.
