Half-Life: Alyx a fantastic achievement, and if there was one title to convince someone that games can stand on their own unique artistic merit, this is surely it.

God of War Ragnarök is magnificent. A true sequel that surpasses almost everything that the previous game had and more. It's grand story does not sacrifice any form of character development or subtlety and in fact somehow manages to enhance it. The fast and frenetic combat leaves you wanting more and every boss fight main story or otherwise leaves you on the edge of your seat.

Knights of Honor II: Sovereign is a precious RTS gem and one of those games that we don't get to play very often. It simply is a gift from Black Sea Games and THQ Nordic to the RTS fans. From town-building to micromanaging diplomacy can't get any deeper than this.

While Breath of the Wild created a new feeling for the entire gaming world, its sequel Tears of the Kingdom, turned it up a notch and made it that much better. There are a good number of people who are disappointed that Breath of the Wild seemingly killed off what was known before as the traditional Zelda format, but with Tears of the Kingdom, they brought back so many of the elements that made those games feel wonderful.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is yet another must-have game with a plethora of fresh content. It refines aspects from games like Metroid Dread while including elements from earlier Prince of Persia titles. As a triumphant return to form for the Prince of Persia series and Ubisoft in general, this is undeniably one of the finest games in the series' history and maybe Ubisoft's, too. The visuals are stunning, the plot is interesting and entertaining without being overwhelming, and the gameplay is so fascinating that you won't want to put the game down.

100 / 100 - The Thaumaturge
Mar 4, 2024

The Thaumaturge is one of those incredibly rare gems that looks incredibly deceiving in some aspects but ends up blowing you away with what it has to offer, putting extra emphasis on Wiktor’s abilities as a thaumaturge and showing that the truth is usually just waiting to be uncovered. Between the already captivating story, breathtaking visuals, and drool-worthy soundtrack, we seem to have one of those rare masterpieces that need to be experienced, but it also leaves us somewhat curious if Fool’s Theory’s next release will be just as great.

100 / 100 - Harold Halibut
Apr 15, 2024

When an ambitious concept is as perfectly executed as it is here, it is imperative to celebrate the creative achievement that it truly is. Not only for the lasting emotion a superbly-told story gives but for all the artistic disciplines that coalesced to form this work of art. Harold Halibut is a feat rarely seen where a comedic sci-fi journey of self-discovery triumphs in leaving a mark that you will always treasure.

Tales of Kenzera: ZAU will take you on one hell of an adventure as it tells a story of grief and overcoming it. The combat and movement mechanics will definitely have you losing more time than you’d like as you explore this masterpiece in design. Shadow of the Erdtree is a well-executed and thoughtful expansion of Elden Ring. There is nothing quite like Shadow of the Erdtree, and it's way more fantastic than any DLC can be. Just like Elden Ring did, Shadow of the Erdtree re-created the sensation of a first playtime and will remain in my mind for quite some time. The fighting possibilities are endless, the bosses are mind-blowing spectacles that are a blast to master, and the legacy dungeons are fabulous, and the new upgrading system allows you to relive the base game's progression. I can't help but recommend Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree high enough to anyone who is still unsure of their tastes; it's incredible.

100 / 100 - Split Fiction
Mar 12, 2025

Split Fiction creates many different worlds to explore, all of which are as fleshed out and fun as the characters you experience them with. If you have a partner to coop with, it's a game you can't miss playing. The worlds they have created really represent who they are as people, with Zoe being amazing at pointing this out as she tries to learn about Mio from her stories.
