Atlas Fallen had great potential, thanks to its exciting dune setting and magical fantasy world. However, this world, story, and characters make Atlas Fallen a mediocre title. Still, the gameplay is fun, the combat is fresh, and moving around the map thanks to the exciting sand surfing will keep you entertained, but you probably won't remember the game when you're done.

Remnant 2 accomplishes everything the game set out to do. It's an enjoyable FPS/RPG hybrid that improves on the solid foundation of the first installment without losing its identity. It's a great and fun title that can be played repeatedly and always a little differently, solo, with friends or strangers online, and simply enjoy the great atmosphere, fantastic music, and overall enjoyable dopamine-filled gameplay—just a shame about the worse optimization and a few graphical imperfections.

Incredible early access period, incredible state of the full version. HROT is a success in every possible way. The result is a faithful and enjoyable boomer shooter with a fantastic atmosphere, capable of competing with foreign genre competition, which can hardly offer you an option to visit Vyšehrad castle, Strahov stadium, or Roztyly prefabs during the brutal socialist era. Moreover, this visit will allow you to shoot stuff and tame a pack of cute Prague Ratters.

If you're a fan of slower horror movies with an exciting story that will stick in your head for a week after finishing it, this is the one for you. It took me about 14 hours to complete the base game with the added chapters, and I think any psychological horror fan will enjoy it. Of course, provided you know that the game is primarily a walking simulator. But he can handle it really well.

As a whole, the game looks very nice and solid. The exciting concept provides a lovely immersion into the book and allows one to experience what it is like to live its story. Switching between the two worlds is exciting and reasonably necessary for solving the puzzles, even if sometimes you won't understand what's happening. The solid and emotional story, which you do not so much influence, is unfortunately slightly disturbed by the audio, which is weak here. Still, it manages to stand on its own with its feet firmly on the ground, ensuring that you will question your morals.

Viewfinder is a beautiful example of not needing bombastic stories, realistic graphics, or a billion different ideas to make a great game. Sometimes, all it takes is one idea. Something new, something special, something extraordinary. And that's precisely how this puzzle title can be described.

Trepang2 will most likely be the surprise of 2023 for many gamers. The story is mediocre, and the graphics will probably not impress many spoiled gamers. But it's not for nothing that they say we shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Especially if it's an indie title with a very friendly price tag. The miniature team of Canadian developers from Trepang Studios has put all their cards on gameplay and created an excellent frenetic FPS with horror elements that are great to play and won't let you rest. Or at least not your heart, because you'll be scared if you don't shoot.

Final Fantasy XVI is very unique both within the series and in the field of hack'n'slash titles. If you are looking for an RPG that is more focused on the individual aspects of the fight and the story as such, then you will definitely enjoy the game. The story is on par with the best not only in the series, but in the games as a whole, which, with pompous moments, brings an incredibly fresh and unique experience that can satisfy both old fans and complete newcomers. This is a candidate for game of the year.

Aliens: Dark Descent is a more than exciting title with much to offer, especially in terms of gameplay, thanks to an exciting mix of game genres. The developers have managed to capture the Alien atmosphere perfectly, and this could be a dream come true for fans of the movie prequel. I would love to see a second installment allowing players more tactical options. Additionally, it's a shame that the game didn't avoid annoying bugs that spoil the overall impression of an otherwise great game.

Crash Team Rumble is an interesting competitive game about picking "apples" and beating the other team. It has a solid base that, unfortunately, lacks enough sauce. The small number of maps, characters, and one single mode - despite their uniqueness and differences from each other - unfortunately doesn't make up for the fact that this game fails on lack of depth and content.

Amnesia: The Bunker has done the impossible - turning an annoying game of cat and mouse into a strategic survival battle that will have you feeling the stress the whole time. The freedom in problem-solving and a light but enjoyable story are only dragged down by the dated look and problematic loading.

Dredge is a unique experience and not only for fishermen. You'll be engulfed by the perfect balance of atmosphere, which is so thick it could be sliced at times. The story's ending isn't hilarious, and you're forced to grind slightly to fully upgrade your boat and abilities. The imaginative minigames and the smooth dispensing of new skills or upgrades will keep you with the game and not let go. It's easy to forget how to use basic abilities. The controls are intuitive, and you will unlikely encounter glitches or errors. If you try the title, you'll most likely never let go and get more out of it than you initially expected.

System Shock is a successful remake of an almost 30-year-old legend that honors the original in every possible aspect, be it story, atmosphere, difficulty, or its core ideas. I enjoyed playing it despite the tension and slight frustration that overcame me every time I missed instructions on continuing the story. The pleasant elevator tune helped ease my inner restlessness.

Ultimately, this title is a great relaxing game for a quiet evening with a glass of wine. Of course, even the non-alcoholic one. It took us about 5 hours to finish it, and we hope we will see the second part in time because we will remember this experience for a long time.

Diablo IV brings a more thoughtful story, a darker atmosphere, and a beautiful open world. It takes a little from each of the previous titles in the series to bring the best of each, albeit without any visible innovation. Diablo IV still has its flaws and will be too simple for some, yet its gameplay brings fun for dozens of hours.

For Warhammer 40,000 lovers and old-timers, Boltgun is a fantastic game. It has a nice graphical styling combining pixel art and simple models. A minor problem, however, is the outdated gameplay. The game can be frustrating at times.

Darkest Dungeon 2 is a title that has successfully managed not to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor. The change to rogue-lite won't please all fans, though, as it takes away from the game's complexity. On the other hand, it will definitely please players who are more interested in experimentation.

LEGO 2K Drive is a failed spiritual sequel to LEGO Racers. You'll have fun, provided you're unpretentious and don't mind the repetitiveness and limited number of races you must repeatedly win to play out the story. If you play as a parent with a child, you can have an enjoyable time together. However, the absence of sharing your own creations among other players or racing with them in multiplayer is disappointing. Hardly anyone plays the multiplayer game, and local multiplayer in a split-screen is currently unplayable. The title offers nice graphics in a LEGO world style, imaginative power-ups, and car models but hides most of them behind microtransactions.

Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores is one of those expansions you want to play. The expansion tells a great story, an epilogue to the second installment. You'll grow to like the characters very quickly, but in the case of Seika, you'll notice that the relationship she builds with Aloy is very rushed, resulting in vague dialogues.
