7 / 10.0 - One Escape
Jun 22, 2021

One Escape is a fun and dynamic game. Its brief journey enchants for presenting a cool level design and three unique characters, which bring a diversity that prevents the campaign from becoming repetitive. Although it doesn't have depth, replay factor or other incentives, we have a charming and cool journey to live, even if it lasts a short time with its heightened simplicity.

Astalon: Tears of the Earth is a retro-style metroidvania that deserves to be played by any fan of the genre. In terms of quality, it doesn't disappoint in almost any aspect, featuring an excellent level design and a deep level of exploration along with its fantastic visual and sound presentation. The high difficulty and slow progression may turn some players off, and thebugs hamper the experience, but Astalon is still a standout title of very high quality on Switch.

6.5 / 10.0 - World's End Club
Jun 21, 2021

World’s End Club tells an interesting story that is consistent with its creators and brings a beautiful story of friendship between a group of children. However, its platform gameplay is too weak, not adequately exploiting the possibilities offered with short and simple stages. Fans of Kodaka and Uchikoshi can have fun and overlook the issues, but both have worked on much better titles before.

Even though it's one of those cheaper eShop titles that, like many others, could simply be overlooked, 'Missing Features: 2D' manages to stand out. With an interesting idea and good pace that keeps the player's attention. There are a considerable amount of problems, though — but if you're curious enough about the premise, it's worth giving it a try for yourself.

DC Super Hero Girls: Teen Power is, above all, a by-product of the cartoon that bears the same name. If you or your child are super fans of the original material, it's not hard to really appreciate what's been done here. If that's not the case, there's no good reason for you to go out of your way and play the game, but playing it wouldn't be that bad either. Although the story is simple and the combat a bit truncated, the city's open-world exploration and the amount of additional content surprise and entertain enough. In general, the title ends midway, however, for a licensed game without many expectations, the result tends to be positive.

In short, due to its design coherence, importance in mechanics, high artistic personality and conceptual depth, Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster is, of course, a must-have game for experienced dungeon crawlers or fans of the Shin Megami Tensei series who haven't played it yet. Due to its high difficulty and strenuous pace, both for combat and exploration, the title is not recommended for first-timers in the series, much less for those who have not played any RPG of the type.

After playing Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection, I understand why the fan community, though small in numbers, has held the franchise so high and has been craving a quality successor for years. At the same time, it's clear that neither game is perfect. I find flaws in each of them, especially in the performance of the last two in Switch, but even so the first two parts provided me with moments in which I had the great pleasure of enjoying the story of the plot and rooting for Ryu and the other protagonists.

9 / 10.0 - Overboard!
Jun 13, 2021

Although it doesn't follow the same line as How to Get Away with Murder, Overboard! has a plot with several endings that vary according to the actions chosen during the campaign. With balanced humor and suspense, immersive soundtrack and unique artistic style, this adventure game challenges the player's logical thinking in every run. Will Veronica be able to get her late husband's money to live in freedom in New York?

Kowloon High-School Chronicle is a curious RPG that experiments with its format in many ways. Despite an unfair system of choices based on emotions, this is a unique work within the genre and worth checking out.

6.5 / 10.0 - Rabisco+
Jun 12, 2021

Rabisco+ is cute and soundly pleasing, but its gameplay is too simple and uncreative in executing the various mechanics it implements. It's a title that could do much better learning from games like The Witness that, from very simple mechanics, greatly refines and progressively improves one gameplay concept until another is implemented.

7.5 / 10.0 - Savage Halloween
Jun 11, 2021

Developed by a Brazilian studio, Savage Halloween is an energetic run ‘n’ gun of creative ideas. Among them, there is an emphasis on the plurality of enemies and weapons, which encourage different styles of gameplay. So, in order not to get out of the context of the plot, I dare say that the game is as fun as Halloween parties usually are, even the most unusual ones, like the one presented throughout the campaign.

8 / 10.0 - Mighty Goose
Jun 9, 2021

Mighty Goose invests in the rescue of a style of game that was very successful in the 16-bit era. The title does what it proposes with excellence, hitting the nostalgia factor squarely but bringing elements that can help new players. It's not really a game that will generate interest for a long time, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. After all, being a goose that loves action, even for a short time, is an attraction in itself.

Earth Defense Force: World Brothers is an excellent action game with a good bit of comedy. Even for those who don't have much contact with the genre, it offers guaranteed fun. With its simple and accessible combat, it proves that fighting giant aliens can be a great way to de-stress.

7.5 / 10.0 - Cannon Brawl
Jun 7, 2021

While not a deep adventure, Cannon Brawl presents a good mix of real-time strategy and artillery, both in its solo campaign and in multiplayer mode. Within what it proposes, the title is fun and offers good hours of unpretentious matches, but it also manages to be intense, with many cannons, explosions and fights within an unusual monarchic family.

7.5 / 10.0 - Miitopia
Jun 3, 2021

Myitopia is certainly a peculiar game. The simplicity of its systems and the constant repetition of its gameplay could easily make it just boring and tiring. However, the charisma and heart of the game manage to turn this formula into an addictive experience at times — if consumed in moderation, of course. If you forget about the roleplaying side a bit and accept Miitopia as a slower, more uncomplicated simulation pastime, it's easy to have a good laugh and have a lot of fun.

8 / 10.0 - Sludge Life
Jun 2, 2021

Sludge Life is a short game that breaks out of the ordinary, offering an exploration environment with lots of unpretentious but still fun elements. Although it doesn't always seem like a game, because it demands very little from the player, the proposal is interesting in itself. Returning to the initial theme, I see Sludge Life much more as an aesthetic experience than a game I want to entertain. And yes, this is very good.

7.5 / 10.0 - Poison Control
May 27, 2021

Despite gameplay problems, Poison Control is quite a fun game. The title covers heavy topics in everyday life (like personal hells) and the poison purification mechanic, in particular, is really very peculiar, bringing a unique game within the genre. With a little more polish, it would be an excellent game, but it's still worth it for those who enjoy stylized and experimental games.

7 / 10.0 - Maneater
May 25, 2021

With a lot of content, Maneater is a fun and exciting game, mainly because it has creative concepts and unique moments, like the acrobatic jumps that we perform to assassinate humans on dry land and the memorable battles against motorized boats. Despite some flaws, the title is a good choice to spend hours exploring immersive aquatic environments, allowing us to live the other side of the shark stories shown in scary films and television shows.

Save me Mr Tako is a title without great pretensions in the platform genre, but it manages to have a good soundtrack and to be very consistent in its gameplay and narrative. It is faithful to its influences, rescuing a nostalgic tone from that era and adding its own personality. However, a level design that is somewhat repetitive and subutilized game features are its main problems. Despite these caveats, Save me Mr Tako: Definitive Edition is an easy recommendation for platform game lovers who appreciate the aesthetics and gameplay of titles from the 8-bit era genre, especially the Game Boy.

6.5 / 10.0 - Rising Hell
May 25, 2021

Rising Hell is too small for the environment it builds, but it does have the characteristics of an addictive and intense game, suitable for short bursts. For lovers of the roguelike genre, it is a greater satisfaction to conclude the small campaign and venture into even more challenging difficulties, but it's a bit lacking for more traditional players. After all, hell is certainly terrible, but there are still those who dare to venture there, whatever the cost.
