Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story 2 manages to present two opposite sides when it comes to quality. On the administration side, the title has a good challenge and diverse possibilities to manage and plan the studies of the future heroes. On the RPG one, it fails to present any attractive content, delivering tedious and monotone moments. Despite its qualities, it's hard to recommend it due to how many hours it takes to explore its bland scenery and to overcome the repetitive battles.

Aliens: Dark Descent is a title that offers a solid experience within the genre of games inspired by the Alien franchise. With an ambience extremely faithful to the movies, it'll definitely please fans of the series looking for a challenge, even if too steep, in tactics and strategy.

Even with some narrative cliches and elements that could have been further explored in the plot, Loopers is an extremely beautiful and competent visual novel in its audiovisual and textual aspects, and it has a wide variety of configurations to make it more comfortable for reading. It's hard not to get emotional with the story that, despite being short, resonates a lot with bits of our daily life.

AEW: Fight Forever came with good intentions, but it needed to have more practice before stepping into the ring. Even though it brings a totally different proposition compared to any recent WWE, its various problems and weak content make it a game that will not even pass the door of the Hall of Fame.

Love Shore is a visual novel with an enticing and well written plot but, curiously, its gameplay leaves a little to be desired. The lack of quality of life elements already considered trivial in the market to the point of being default features in visual novel engines cuts down a little of the player control. The result is a really interesting story with an inconvenient gameplay that should be fixed to offer a much better experience.

It's not often that a strategy game manages to be as dynamic and addictive as Company of Heroes 3 - Console Edition. With a good variety of features and fun campaign and multiplayer modes, it's easy to get involved in the competitive battles set in World War II. There are a few problems that make the player's life difficult, but make no mistake: if you're a fan of games that require tactics and planning, preferably seasoned with a good dose of action, then this is a great addition to your library.

Getting angry at the difficulty of Dr. Fetus’ Mean Meat Machine is something that comes with the package, and there are certainly those who love it and those who hate it. The fact is that they managed to put the same spirit of adventure games into a Tetris-like game, making it very attractive for those who like the troublesome meat cube universe. That's not an easy task, but one that this game managed to accomplish very well.

It is necessary to recognize the merit of such a well-constructed investigation adventure. The Forgotten City has no excesses: all the pieces fit together to form a kind of narrative diorama that we can see from multiple angles until reaching the satisfaction of, like an oracle, understanding the whole of that multifaceted community that was masterfully woven into a network of intertwined wires. Time loops set in motion the hero's continual progress, transforming the vulnerability of ignorance into the power of knowledge to defy fate.

Kingdom Eighties excels at combining its gameplay with a beautiful world based in the 80s. Even if it gets repetitive and has some problems, the gameplay manages to deliver a good dose of strategy and entertain for a while. The highlight is its setting, with pixel art graphics, beautiful scenery, an engaging soundtrack and several references to pop culture that will certainly please the most nostalgic.

Harmony: Fall of Reverie is a title that will easily please a specific public and strongly displease others. Its quality when it comes to the technical aspects mentioned in the text are undeniable but its heart, which is the plot, is weak. Those less demanding with choices and consequences may appreciate the trip with less turbulence.

Amarantus is a highly recommended visual novel about messy relationships and the struggle to make the difference in a world of complex choices. Its nuanced style may be a double-edged swords depending on the reader but the experience is remarkable and merits attention.

F1 23 arrives as a great recommendation for fans of the most important category of motorsport with engaging game modes, a very high quality presentation and subtle improvements in the user's quality of life that make our experience with the game very pleasant. Even with an EA microtransaction system that is not justified, Codemasters shows that it is an expert on the subject with yet another very high quality product.

With an intriguing premise and unique visuals, it's a shame that Skautfold: Usurper has so many gameplay issues. For those who are huge fans of the aforementioned genres, there are some pleasant aspects here, but patience is required in the course of the first few hours of gameplay. For those who want to know titles of this kind, there are friendlier and more accessible options on the market.

Killer Frequency mixes elements that are beloved in pop culture, such as the 1980s aesthetic, signature songs, masked killers, investigative plot and heavy humor. All elements come together to transform a simple indie into one of my best video game experiences of the year. For fans of slasher horror movies or investigative works like those of Agatha Christie, this title is a door to paradise.

Everdream Valley has its charm and a few merits, especially in aspects that are not expected for a game of this genre. The exploration of the map and the freedom of action stand out, contrasting with what was expected to be the main focus of the game: managing the farm. If you are looking for a rural experience along the lines of other titles with this theme, unfortunately, this game is not a good option.

Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life proved to be a Marvelous hit on both a technical and conceptual level. The progression by chapters of the original, which was already way ahead of its time when it was released in the early 2000s, even today follows a nice differential that sets the product apart from other more robust farm simulators. Despite one or another questionable decision that causes the concept of the original to lose some of its strength, the remake is still a solid enough revitalization and finally worthy of the name it bears.

Despite significant limitations to the impact and scope of the plot, such as the ambientation and animation, and some choices that could have been further developed for the narrative, Lkyt. is a stellar visual novel. Particularly, it brings a rare BL experience in its critic and somber outlook into human beings and when exploring love in the midst of an unforgiving war. Due to the weight of some scenes and for not emphasizing so much the emotional impact of the couples, I wouldn't recommend it to any BL fan but if you have the guts to explore a tragic and somber world, it may be a fascinating and unique experience.

Even if the biggest issue were only the extremely simplistic proposal, Laserpitium would still be a hard choice for anyone who isn't a hardcore shoot'em up fan. However, it went beyond: a lacking presentation, pitiful story, generic graphic style and bad gameplay, along with bad ideas in every aspect, make the game even worse. It's functional and even has some minimal qualities that maybe could, perhaps, satisfy fans of the genre; for anyone else, I'd suggest searching for other options in the stores.

Kunado Chronicles is a good example of what visual novels can do with their stories. Dealing with a unique concept of future in which technology regressed, we have the opportunity to see the efforts of a group trying to rethink a warrior society and prepare them for an era of peace. With interesting themes and an ambientation that resembles feudal Japan, this is an easy recommendation for fans of the genre.

Layers of Fear is, without a doubt, a worthwhile experience for those who are curious to enter the franchise and haven't had the opportunity yet, since the package includes the two main games, DLCs and extras, making it a great attraction. However, it is necessary to emphasize, for those who already know the experience, that you will not find anything substantially new, having in the graphic improvement its greatest strength, keeping the rhythm, puzzles and gameplay loop intact and not correcting the mistakes of the franchise's past.
