INVEN's Reviews
Numerous jump scares, logical and challenging puzzles, and psychological horror that shake your mind. It is worth considering that MADiSON has the best core elements among recent horror games. However, the links between the narrative and puzzles may not be easily found due to lack of hints.

In the positive side, Time on Frog Island is a very easy and relaxing game. However, it also can be mean that it has shallow game play. The game surely has a wonderful, deep background scenery, but it feels like they didn't make a good use of all of it.

A new game that combines classic Zelda-like gameplay design and sci-fi story. While the adventure part is enough to enjoy, the lack of convenience feature makes it hard to believe that the game is released in 2022. Also, the bugs are scattered all over the place to the point where it is almost difficult to proceed the game. It needs to be improved quickly.

The game's concept and setting - a resistence running a gun shop in the dystopian cyberpunk world - were interesting. On the other hand, the shooting part is boring and store managing part is as lifeless as an empty can. Lastly, it is almost impossible to believe that the game is officially released because of so many bugs. It even made me feel like I paid to become a QA.

Even after 25 years, its fairytale-like story and easy control using only three moves and two buttons are still enjoyable. The level of difficulty of this game is enough for the beginners, also the story can appeal to anyone. However, the game is a bit too easy for core gamers and the volume is insufficient to reveal all the mysteries behind the stories.

GWENT: Rogue Mage have mixed well the core of Gwent with Rogue-lite element. However, overall strategy aspect became slightly dull by the decision of eliminating one of the characteristic of Gwent, rounds system. despite these efforts to make the game easier, it seems the poor tutorial still keeps the beginners away from the game. It surely needs an update that suits with its purpose.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak reached even closer to the franchises's core with new monsters, their patterns and overall action. Although there is little novelty, it is a DLC that has been satisfactorily expanded the original for fans of the series. I am not saying there are no shortcomings, but the game provides so much fun that you don't have to worry about them.

In game design wise, 'Fobia' is a great homage to the classic Survival Horrors such as Resident Evil. While the action part against the monster is rather sloppy, the hotel's level design and terrifying atmosphere are quite impressive.

Cuphead succeed to upgrade its unique classic cartoon style with long-awaited DLC. It is packed with fun enough to finally give a comfort to those who suffered from the delay of release date. Especially, I was happy to see cute and adorable Ms. Chalice's appearance.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes seems to succeed in both capturing the essence of its original and embodying the enjoyable action that musou series always offer. While the amount of information on its complicated system can be a problem for newcomers, it is certain that the game gives new experience from if once you are adapted to it.

DNF Duel is a fighting game with great respect to its original IP. While the game providing deep sense of duel, its easy control system makes anyone can adapt into the game's mechanic. Though the collectable system and convenience in training mode are not as good as its graphic and sound quality, it is certain that both DNF fans and fighting fans can enjoy this.

Neon White stands out for its gameplay that allows you to enjoy hyper speed action with simple maneuvers. Even though who are not familiar with speedruns can enjoy it without burden, obtaining ace medals is challenging enough for skilled gamer as well. Meanwhile, a bit awkward Korean localization makes it difficult to fully immerse into characters.

A game that continues the core of the retro belt scroll genre. It emphasizes exciting action rather than equipment farming or growth process, and succeed to sustain each advantages both in single and multi-play. Especially, multiplayer delivers the joy of belt scroll thanks to its matching system and roll-back net code. The world with good use of TMNT universe is also attractive.

Puzzles using divers, deep-sea and possession succeed to increase immersion in early game. The atmospheric monochrome graphic and heart-warming soundtracks are also unforgettable. However, the puzzles are a bit too much simple and repetitive, as well as the narrative seems to fail keeping the tension till the end.

Mario Strikers Battle League is a game faithful to the term 'easy to learn, hard to master'. Everyone can enjoy it without any concerns due to its simple controls as well as the exciting visuals are easy on the eyes. However, the lack of game modes and characters can make the game easily tiresome for those who don't fancy about sports that much.

The world of vampires, the idea of implementing it as a single game was not bad. But the puzzles were unreasonable, and growth system seems failed to mean so much. Also, Poor graphics quality and lip sync interfere with immersion. Lastly, the story can be hard to follow if you are not familiar with WoD.

The game catches your eyes with over 150 road construction puzzles, comfy visual and sweet jazz rhythm. Beginners can also enjoy puzzles without stress thanks to its powerful hint system. However, there are not so many sub contents beside the narratives and records.

Although there is not much difference between Supermassive's previous games systemwise, Quarry shows an interesting storytelling based on classical teenage horror film. Facial expressions came naturally without awkwardness thanks to the collaboration with famous actors. But, it is a bit unfortunate that we can not enjoy co-op multiplayer right after its release.

The game succeed Diablo franchise's core mechanics such as grinding, the pleasure of looting items. The build structure using legendary equipment in the early to mid-game also immersive. However, the fun of growing your character is halved as soon as the way to strengthen it becomes to upgrading legendary gems. Moreover, the in-game payment system seems to failed to provide sufficient satisfaction compared to what have been invested.
