Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number relies heavily on the story, which doesn’t really suit me. I’m bothered by how the significance of the masks has been pushed to the background and by the style of the missions, which are designed to tell a story. The long dialogues ruin the dynamic, and the new gameplay features don’t help much. On the contrary, some things, like the enemies’ stupid AI, haven’t been improved at all. On the other hand, if you get into the game and develop a taste for it, get ready for some hardcore carnage that won’t give you anything for free and will keep you hooked for a long time. The core gameplay remains the same. But if I had to choose, I’d rather play the first game.

Pirates VR: Jolly Roger is one of those games that’s not easy to evaluate, because it really depends on the criteria you use to judge it. I had fun playing it and don’t regret the time I spent on it, but I have a feeling that players expecting a vast and complex adventure will inevitably be disappointed. Pirates VR is unlikely to be remembered as a landmark title for PCVR. It’s simply a rather charming little adventure game that just happens to be played in virtual reality.

MiSide is like a sweet dream that quickly turns into a nightmare, yet compels you to come back for another dose. The game draws you into its world of love, fear, and questions you might not want to know the answers to. It offers you the illusion of safety, only to snatch it away at the most unexpected moment. Despite all that—or perhaps because of it—MiSide is an experience that will haunt your thoughts long after you turn off the screen.

Cross Blitz captivates players with its unique blend of heartfelt storytelling, strategic gameplay, charming pixel art, and an immersive soundscape. The vast world of Crossdawn Isle also invites you to explore, experiment, and interact with a diverse cast of unique characters. Although the game is still in early access, it shows tremendous potential to join the ranks of well-known and beloved deckbuilders. Whether you’re a fan of card games or narrative RPGs, Cross Blitz has something to offer you, so definitely don’t hesitate to give it a try.

Batman - The Telltale Series is the perfect game for all Batman fans who love his stories more than his video games but still want to get involved in some way. The only thing that really bothers me about the game is that there are some moments where the decisions aren’t that significant and you feel like you’re wasting time, but you can’t skip them. However, the high-quality story, comic-book design, perfect voice acting, and—for me personally—Lady Arkham are just the icing on the cake of a high-quality game that I had the pleasure of reviewing today.

Vampire Hunters is a great choice for fans of action-survival games who appreciate dynamic gameplay and the possibility of endless upgrades. Although it lacks a more elaborate story, it offers entertainment that will appeal especially to players who prefer fast-paced and intense action.

Rally Arcade Classics is an excellent game that should delight anyone who enjoyed Sega Rally Championship and similar racing arcade games from the first half of the ’90s. If you can accept that it takes a long time to unlock the powerful cars and don’t mind that the available fleet of cars can’t be customized in any way, then you should definitely give it a try. I think it’s also exactly the kind of game that has the potential to appeal to absolutely everyone, regardless of their genre preferences. Well, except maybe for the mythical (?) type of people who supposedly hate internal combustion engines.

It certainly can’t be said that Frostpunk 2 simply blindly copies the previous installment without attempting any changes. Instead, it shifts the focus from individuals to the collective, and if this shift in gameplay—along with the political aspect—doesn’t put you off, you’ll have at least as much fun as you did with the original game. However, given the number of bugs and unfinished elements, as well as the relatively sparse content, it will be interesting to see what the developers come up with in the coming months.

So is this train survival game—straight out of the nightmarish world of Jason Bourne or Archer—worth it? I won’t keep you in suspense, but if you’re in the right frame of mind, it’s probably worth a try after all. It’s a unique mix of a true simulator and pure despair. If you ever watch those bizarre videos on YouTube, TikTok, etc.—compilations of life in Russia—and find them entertaining, you’re a prime candidate for the role of train engineer in this picturesque survival game. If the idea of Train Simulator combined with Postal sounds like an utterly enticing combination to you, you’re also a good candidate. Unfortunately, upon sober evaluation, it’s simply a run-of-the-mill game for now.

Fabledom is a really nice, laid-back city-building strategy game that doesn’t introduce any revolutionary new mechanics, but executes classic ideas very well. You’ll often find yourself zooming in on a specific resident to see what they’re up to. It’s not overly deep or demanding, and at the same time, it’s enjoyable to watch your little town grow and prosper. The fairy-tale atmosphere with fantasy elements gives it a special charm. The game’s price matches its length, which is just right—a single playthrough can be completed in 10 to 12 hours. I never encountered any significant lulls in the fun, and new content is introduced at a pleasant pace. In short, you always have something to do, and just when you think you’ve built everything, the game somehow offers or even unlocks additional content. Despite the above, there’s a creative mode for those of you who might find even these few limitations too restrictive. If you’re looking for a relaxing game with a pleasant fairy-tale atmosphere where frustration is kept to an absolute minimum, Fabledom is perfect for you.

Reviewing Vivat Slovakia in early access at this point means finding yourself torn between your heart and your head. I’m rooting for this Slovakian GTA, and I believe it still has the potential to be a great game. For that to happen, however, the developers still have a lot of work to do. So far, the game is not only unfinished but also technically buggy. So early access is mainly for players who want to support the developers, or those who just can’t wait to floor it in their 120 to head over to the Petržalka housing estate. For everyone else, I’d recommend waiting to see how the full version turns out.

For JRPG veterans, it’s a return to the roots that can evoke nostalgia. For newcomers, it’s a challenge that will test their patience and determination. Despite its flaws, Fantasian Neo Dimension proves that the traditional JRPG genre still has a lot to offer.

Lords of the Fallen is an interesting game for fans of the Souls series. It features a customizable character, captivating environments, and intense combat. It also introduces the innovative concept of the Umbral world and lanterns, though some players may not take to them. The game had a few technical issues upon release, but the developers have been working (and continue to work) to fix them quickly. Overall, it’s a solid experience for those who enjoy challenging action RPGs, even if it isn’t always perfect.

No More Room in Hell 2 builds on the foundation of its successful predecessor. Setting this eight-player cooperative extraction FPS in the midst of a zombie apocalypse was a great move, and in some situations, the game manages to create just the right kind of intense atmosphere. It therefore has great potential, and the concepts—combined with the gameplay—can keep you entertained for many hours. Unfortunately, the game is severely hampered by technical issues and bugs, which are literally rife at this stage. But when everything works as it should, it’s a fantastic co-op experience.

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - Deluxe Edition didn't turn out as well as it could have. Compared to Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition, it looks terrible, and compared to other games, it's downright average. The controls are sluggish, the gameplay is flawed, and because of that, the game is incredibly difficult. But perhaps the worst part is that this title, designed as a platformer for PC, doesn’t run as well as one might expect. Paradoxically, the well-executed visuals and audio end up looking like a Mirrormaster’s reflection. Well, not every day in Arkham is a party.

Farming Simulator 25 is the latest addition to the series, enriching this now-legendary farming simulator with new crops—most notably rice cultivation—a greater emphasis on livestock farming, and, most importantly, the implementation of terrain deformation, which simply makes Farming a slightly more realistic simulator once again. Unfortunately, however, some aspects weren’t fully fleshed out, and for example, the aforementioned terrain deformation—which the developers talked about so much—has only a minimal impact on driving or physical properties and is, once again, practically just a visual texture, much like the snow in last year’s edition. Technically speaking, though, the world of virtual farming has taken a small step forward, even if I simply expected more from some of the new features. Seven and a half out of ten.

The Spirit of the Samurai is a well-crafted action platformer set in the Sengoku period, with a story based on Japanese mythology and folklore. The stop-motion animation, in keeping with the game’s style, is truly impressive and, together with the soundtrack, successfully evokes the right atmosphere. Unfortunately, the game is let down by various rough edges and the fact that some elements weren’t fully realized as originally intended. Even so, it’s a great game that clearly reflects the developer’s effort and passion, and it will undoubtedly appeal to fans of the genre as well as enthusiasts of Japanese mythology and folklore.

There are several reasons why you might want to play The Gray Man… Maybe you’re a fan of purna. Maybe you want to support the Czech indie scene. Maybe you’re interested in serial killers and would like to get a glimpse into their minds. All of this will lead you to a game with a unique story and graphics, but don’t expect a simple or polished gaming experience. After all, most reviews on Steam agree on that point.

Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story is a magical adventure game that combines relaxing gameplay with the charm of Bandle City. Although the game doesn’t offer deep challenges or complex strategy, its accessibility, cute art style, and fun tasks make it suitable for players of all ages. Above all, young children will love it, and teenage League of Legends fans as well as lovers of life-sim games will find a pleasant and undemanding experience full of creativity and humor. For me, however—as, let’s say, a slightly seasoned player—there weren’t as many challenges as I’d expected. But I can also admit, as a guy, that I was expecting Arcane, destruction, war, death, and even the plague, but instead I got a wonderful fairy-tale adventure, and I enjoyed almost every moment of it.

Soulmask offers a very well-executed blend of survival elements in a sandbox game set in a captivating, magical world full of primitive tribes. The option to choose between PvP and PvE servers can enhance your gaming experience just as much as the well-designed leveling system, including skill trees. The use of tribal companions—who can truly help you and even join you in battle—gives the impression that you’re just one of many and that the community comes first. However, the game clearly emphasizes online play with other players, with whom you’ll enjoy it the most.
