NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS definitely offers the best visuals in the Ninja Storm series. However, the storytelling—which follows Naruto from his youth through the Shippuden era to the time when he became the Hokage of his dreams and had a son, Boruto—is chaotic. As a result, the game’s potential has been limited to nothing more than a classic beat-’em-up where you can choose from 130 characters. Considering the entire Ultimate Ninja STORM series and the high standards it has set, this is merely a polished average.

Tribe: Primitive Builder is an enjoyable building game with light survival and management elements, set on an island during the dawn of the human era. It’s a game that draws its strength from its setting and the island’s gameplay environment, complete with its indigenous inhabitants. The game has a distinctive visual charm and successfully captures the atmosphere of building on an island, but compared to other titles in its category, it doesn’t offer any groundbreaking innovations that would set it apart. However, fans of the genre will definitely find it entertaining for several dozen hours.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is an excellent spin-off of the series that not only successfully bridges the story between the sixth and seventh installments but also introduces new and innovative elements. A great story, connections to the main series, and diverse combat styles make this game a treat for both Yakuza fans and newcomers. The side activities are fun and add a few hours of entertainment to the game. Despite minor flaws in the controls and the challenge of remembering new characters, this game is an enjoyable and engaging adventure for fans of the series.

Postal: Brain Damaged takes a playful and creative approach to the series, offering an original story and wacky humor. Dynamic, action-packed sequences, along with innovative weapons and enemies, give the game its own unique character. The art style and sound design create an atmosphere that enhances the overall experience. Despite limited freedom of movement and less-than-impressive character models, it’s an interesting title for fans of the series.

As far as I’m concerned, Dark Envoy is a very well-made game. It offers countless ways to make decisions and steer the story in different directions. There’s a pretty nice selection of characters and classes. This lets you build a party that perfectly matches your preferences and needs. Add to that the beautiful graphics for both the environments and the characters. Throw in a bit of humor between the siblings, and you’ve got at least twenty hours of entertainment—which isn’t bad at all. Even so, there’s definitely room for improvement, and I firmly believe that the developers at Event Horizon will do something about it.

Jusant offers a breathtaking rock-climbing adventure with an emotional story, just as we’ve come to expect from Don’t Nod. The developers have managed to bring their strengths to a genre that’s new to them, thereby demonstrating their versatility. Rock climbing provides a satisfying experience. Combined with appealing visuals, a powerful soundtrack, and a meditative atmosphere, these strengths far outweigh a few shortcomings and certainly do nothing to detract from the charm of this short but well-crafted project.

Bus World is a bus simulator with an interesting concept but terrible execution. That’s pretty much how you could sum up the game overall. Simulating the Chernobyl nuclear disaster or some other type of natural disaster is undoubtedly an interesting and great idea, but an idea isn’t everything, and if you can’t package all these aspects into a functional whole, the result is merely a barely average game—which is exactly what Bus World is. On behalf of us at Gaming Professors, I’m giving the game five out of ten points, and I’m only giving that five for the interesting concept. If it were just another run-of-the-mill bus simulator, the rating would be a grade or two lower.

Agatha Christie – Murder on the Orient Express is definitely an interesting game from the French studio Microids, and—after a brief look back at the history of this series—a significant step forward. Among its major strengths are a suspenseful story, a well-known brand and characters, and well-designed puzzle mini-games. A nice surprise is the inclusion of Czech subtitles, which make this type of game even more enjoyable and accessible in our region, especially for younger or less linguistically proficient players. However, the characters’ facial expressions still need some improvement and are slightly lacking for the year 2023, especially since the developers are asking for what I consider to be a hefty price for the full version. In any case, I highly recommend this game to all fans of detective stories.

I understand that the game is still in development, and I accept that the developers make no secret of the fact that version 1.0 is still a long way off. Nevertheless, I was disappointed. The game contains a huge number of glitches and bugs; there are issues with both the audio and the translation, and the text often doesn’t make sense. Reviews also mention problems with certain quests. I wasn’t entirely satisfied with the optimization either—the game simply doesn’t run completely smoothly. In this context, I really don’t understand the high rating the game has on Steam; however, the developers are truly trying their best and releasing updates one after another. The game has enormous potential, and I’m rooting for it to one day become what players want it to be. I believe I’ll return to it someday.

This Means Warp is an enjoyable space-travel odyssey without a story that will keep you entertained for hours on end. Above all, playing with friends and sharing some adventures against the Isaacs is great fun. Unfortunately, the bosses in the game are completely overpowered, and the moment you lose the vacuum under your ship and are left to fend for yourself, your nerves tend to get the best of you, because you know you’ll have to start all over again.

Last Train Home is a well-crafted RTS with elements of management and survival that tells the story of Czechoslovak legionnaires with a simple wish to return home. The stylistic execution—including the visuals and audio—is excellent, and thanks to the ability to customize how you want to play and what you want to focus on, the game will appeal to both real-time strategy enthusiasts and story lovers alike. The game is held back slightly by some technical issues, which I believe will be resolved to perfection very soon.

To me, Noel the Mortal Fate is more of an interactive anime focused on storytelling than a game per se. The whole thing feels like a classic anime. It features the power of friendship, comically awkward conversations between Noel and Caron (she constantly calls him a “bird” because of his raven-like head), enemies who eventually become our allies, and so on. As an anime lover, I definitely enjoyed it. Each season brings new information, characters, a major battle, and an unexpected twist. If you’re also a big fan of anime games, definitely don’t hesitate—go all in on this game.

The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo draws you into a colorful world full of abstraction and illusions. The gameplay itself offers a unique experience, and you truly feel like you’re taking part in a wonderful adventure with Mr. Coo. The logic puzzles are fun, and the situations that arise will put a smile on your face. The visuals are brilliant in every way, including the background music. The game’s biggest issue is its price-to-content ratio, as the price is really high and the content lasts only an hour. On the other hand, it’s a very high-quality title, and if you enjoy point-and-click games, casual games, or logic puzzles, I highly recommend it.

Do Not Feed the Monkeys 2099 takes the formula of its predecessor and transplants it into a new setting… without offering much in the way of innovation. The biggest step forward is its distinctive futuristic world, but that’s not quite enough to prevent this (slightly more expensive) sequel from feeling, at times, like nothing more than a reskin or a story DLC. For those interested, it’s therefore better to start with the original game first, or wait for a sale on this one.

ENDLESS Dungeon is an original and intriguing game that combines various genres into a unique and engaging experience. Opening doors and tactical tower placement add depth to the gameplay, and the ability to develop characters and their equipment motivates players to keep progressing. The excellent musical and visual design enhances the game’s atmosphere. Although the number of bosses and enemies could be expanded, the overall impression of the game remains positive.

Football Manager 2024 is a strategic management game with all its pros and cons. The game is superbly crafted down to the smallest statistical details, tables, and numbers. However, it’s easy to get lost in them if you let your guard down even for a moment, and you might make mistakes that could prove fatal to your in-game career. That’s why it’s important to think tactically—you simply can’t switch off your brain while playing. I definitely recommend this game to die-hard soccer fans who like to get to the bottom of things and are interested in what the world of soccer management really looks like off the TV screen.

RoboCop: Rogue City is an excellent game that blends design ingenuity, fan enthusiasm, and attention to detail while exploring the fictional world of RoboCop. One could justifiably criticize the storyline for playing it safe and tending to repeat or vary what players already know from the first two movies, but that doesn’t detract from the sheer amount and intensity of fun to be had while playing. With this title, Teyon Studio has established itself among the developers from whom even the most discerning player can expect high-quality results.

PowerWash Simulator delivers a fun and relaxing experience that offers the satisfaction of removing grime with a high-pressure washer. The game features a variety of tasks and environments that ensure every job is unique. The multiplayer mode is a great feature, but the lack of background music can make the game feel monotonous during longer play sessions. If you’re looking for a casual game or a relaxing experience, this simulator will be right up your alley.
