Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a high-quality 2D metroidvania with intricate level design, challenging combat, and excellent platform sequences. Developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, it's a must-have for genre fans and a great way to start the 2024 gaming year. Hopefully, it marks a new beginning for the Prince of Persia saga and Ubisoft.

Yes, Hidden Through Time 2: Myths & Magic impressed me, despite not having an overly complex gameplay. Sometimes, simplicity is enough to create a carefree and fun experience. Rogueside's production is a convincing pastime, perfect for relaxing without too many expectations. Even if you finish the four worlds quickly, the level editor offers many more hours of fun.

You can undoubtedly tell an interesting story without elaborate gameplay, and that's what Gray Down manages to do. Father Abraham's story keeps the player's attention but sidelines the pure gameplay aspect. The Interactive Stone production arrives on console perhaps too late, making the gameplay mechanics feel outdated. It's playable but may disappoint those seeking a more layered and longer title.

With unique ideas, Loot River is an interesting roguelike with a distinct personality. Straka Studio effectively combines action, RPG, and puzzle elements, but the challenge level is too unbalanced, and the progression feels sparse. It's suitable for those who love worthy challenges and have a lot of patience.

In summary, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora isn't quite what I expected, but it's important to judge it based on what it actually offers. The game presents a vast and new world to explore, with visuals faithful to the film and an original story. It allows players to step into the shoes of a Na’vi with first-person gameplay, combining exploration, hunting, combat, and some crafting for a complete experience. However, the game lacks originality and a fresh style suited to the franchise, often feeling too vast and unstimulating for long-term play. Fans of Avatar may still enjoy exploring Pandora in-depth, but this judgment remains subjective. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide whether to give it a try or not.

Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising is the best version of Arc System Works' fighting game, evolving gameplay mechanics and adding characters and mini-games. Although fans may not like paying for an upgraded version, it offers engaging new modes and streamlined, exciting gameplay. Try the free version and upgrade if you enjoy it.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader faithfully digitizes the Games Workshop tabletop RPG, but this fidelity can be overwhelming for non-fans. Once you overcome the learning curve and technical issues, it delivers a satisfying experience that does justice to the grim universe of Space Marines, heretics, and demons.

Absolutely. While new players might find the pace and gameplay of Super Mario RPG slow, old-school RPG fans will love it. The remastered version stays true to the original, offering around ten hours of gameplay. The reorchestrated music is a weak point, but other improvements make the gameplay more accessible for today's audience. Give it a try!

My first playthrough of A Highland Song was a unique and emotional experience, filled with curiosity and the mysteries of the Scottish hills. The game's replayability means each journey can be different, encouraging multiple playthroughs to discover new outcomes. Inkle's creation is an adventure worth experiencing at least once, whether for the captivating landscapes or the beautiful music by Laurence Chapman, Talisk, and Fourth Moon. If you enjoyed Moira's journey, be prepared for many more.

I want to trust Born of Bread, especially with its launch today, and hope the development team quickly fixes the issues. Despite some annoying problems, this unique and fun production deserves a chance. With its successful graphics, interesting gameplay, and solid story, Loaf and company offer an RPG that's not overly complex but solid. Let's hope for a quick patch to resolve the coding issues.

Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections rehashes old content at a high price. Despite the love for the saga and anime-based games, it doesn't deserve more than a passable score. Hopefully, CyberConnect2 will reinvigorate the series with fresh ideas.

If you're looking for a VR successor to Ace Combat, Project Wingman: Frontline 59 might disappoint due to its short VR duration. However, it's a convincing and fun arcade flight-sim with good longevity. Some missions are too long, and the AI is less effective, but it's a strong alternative to Bandai Namco's series.

EA Sports UFC 5 is undoubtedly the best installment in Electronic Arts' series. The technical revolution with the Frostbite Engine enhances realism, making gameplay spectacular and rewarding. However, the repetitive single-player career needs a major overhaul.

The Invincible has great ideas but suffers from slow pace and basic gameplay. While Firewatch balanced constant narrative with minimal gameplay well, this title doesn't quite manage it. Still, it's worth trying the demo to see if it suits you before deciding to buy or wait for a discount.

COCOON is the perfect puzzle game, with impeccable design and varied puzzles that will please experts and enthusiasts. Its minimalism and assumed standard mechanics might challenge newcomers, but it's highly satisfying once you get used to it.

EA Sports WRC is a solid title that lays a strong foundation for the future of official World Rally Championship games, inheriting the best aspects of the DiRT Rally series. There are a few minor flaws, and the graphics are a bit dated, but these can be easily overlooked thanks to the enjoyable and satisfying gameplay and well-built career mode.

The Talos Principle II evolves the first game in every way, making it a cornerstone of the genre. Its variety intrigues players, who will spend more hours than anticipated due to the game's length and challenge, constantly urging you to achieve 100% completion. It's complex enough to make you think but never too difficult. The perfect puzzle game.

With Persona 5 Tactica, SEGA and Atlus continue to exploit the adventures of the Phantom Thieves, delivering a tactical RPG that's at times essential but still fun. This new foray into alternate universes may not rival the original in writing and mechanics, but it's a well-written and mature story with fun and well-polished gameplay. A tasty appetizer that eases the wait for the future of the series.

The question is: is Modern Warfare III a massive expansion or a standalone game? The truth lies somewhere in between. It offers few new features (mainly evolutions of the past) and some content quality gaps, but its monstrous multiplayer structure is technically infinite. Whether it's worth buying depends on the player's recent history. If you've played the previous title extensively, you may struggle to distinguish between Modern Warfare II and III. But if you haven't bought Call of Duty in a while, Modern Warfare III might be a culmination of the dynamic, frenetic CoD experience.

With Bang-On Balls: Chronicles, Exit Plan Games has created a fun and entertaining first title, well put together despite not being revolutionary. Bob's adventure will win you over with its absurdity and quirky presentation. It's a visually charming and satisfying 3D platformer, offering a delightful dose of good humor.
