I won't deny that Worldless made me incredibly frustrated, as it quickly undermines the excellent work Noname Studios achieved. The sudden and inexplicable increase in difficulty halfway through overshadows the excellent level design and original combat system. Despite this, Worldless is a splendid metroidvania with stimulating progression and an outstanding artistic direction. Recommended for genre fans, though be prepared for its flaws.

Blasphemous 2 is an excellent second chapter in a series that has become a benchmark for genre enthusiasts. The Game Kitchen has improved and expanded the overall experience, offering more varied gameplay and exploration. While not perfect, it maintains high quality. However, those with strong religious sensitivities might find it unsuitable.

Ghostrunner 2 doesn't try to win over those who disliked the first game, focusing instead on its hardcore fans who enjoy frenetic action with synthwave music in a cyberpunk setting. The late-arriving new features feel more like a version 1.5 than a true sequel.

Unfortunately, early fears about Ufo Robot Goldrake: Il Banchetto dei Lupi have materialized. Endroad's work is not the masterpiece Nagai's fans deserve. Simple and straightforward, it manages to be passable, but given its name's importance, it should have soared higher. Hardcore fans might still enjoy it despite its flaws.

With Disgaea 7: Vow of the Virtueless, Nippon Ichi returns to the series' tactical RPG roots, addressing the issues of Defiance of Destiny and delivering a less forgiving title. It offers a multifaceted and challenging experience, delighting fans with countless hours of fun. Though not perfect, it stands out in the series.

Hellboy Web of Wyrd is a stylish nostalgia trip, paying homage to Mignola's artistic genius. Visually appealing but limited in gameplay, it will polarize opinions based on fans' devotion to Red. While entertaining, it suffers from repetitiveness.

Genotype feels like a missed opportunity. It starts with great promise but ultimately shows the limitations of a production weighed down by its ambitions. The gameplay doesn't fully utilize the protagonist's gloves, sticking to predictable paths. With more creativity, it could have been a standout VR title.

I admit, when I reached the credits and realized that AstralShift wasn't a Japanese team, I couldn't help but applaud even more for their work on Little Goody Two Shoes. The production successfully misleads and tricks the player from start to finish, creating a unique horror adventure. Though it has a slow start and occasionally unclear puzzles, if you have the patience to reach one of the multiple endings, you'll surely recognize Elise and company's personality.

What happens if we transport a 1985 gameplay to modern gaming machines? Air Twister refreshes the concept of Space Harrier effectively, adding numerous side activities to counter the short longevity of old arcade productions. Though not revolutionary, Yu Suzuki's new work is a successful homage to this old way of gaming, simple but still fun. If you loved Space Harrier, Air Twister will likely win your heart, despite its essential presentation.

Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord didn't manage to break the curse of similar tie-ins. Despite its charming franchise and convincing gameplay mechanics, the monotonous cooperative experience (both online and offline) flattens the game's initial promise. A more story-driven approach would have been preferable. Hopefully, future updates will improve the experience.

Wizard with a Gun is a solid product in every aspect. Galvanic Games' work is aesthetically pleasing, narratively sufficient, and mechanically satisfying. While it doesn't break new ground, it's a great refresher of basic genre mechanics. Recommended for roguelike fans and newcomers alike.

Despite its limits, Journey to Foundation is a convincing and heartfelt homage to Isaac Asimov's universe. While individual gameplay elements aren't outstanding, their combination creates an engaging narrative adventure with replayability.

Kona II: Brume showcases Parable's growth, adding action and survival horror elements to the walking simulator genre. However, some underdeveloped aspects prevent it from making the leap it deserves. The final result is an intriguing, well-told story with some evident gameplay limits.

In Jusant, climbing is a refined and pleasant mechanic requiring attention and problem-solving. The game world tells a vibrant story with an impeccable presentation, all without words. For some, it will be just a walking simulator, but for others, it will be a full-fledged experience.

Stray Souls is a bad game without any excuses, squandering its interesting premise in minutes. With incomprehensible design choices, a nonsensical script, and buggy gameplay, Jukai Studio's debut is forgettable. A failed horror game on all fronts, unable to create the disturbing atmosphere it aimed for. Maybe next time.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder offers a complete world and character overhaul, with fully redesigned and fluid animations, bringing an innovative touch to the saga in true Nintendo style. The game provides hours of carefree fun, smiles, and amazement, unmatched by most games. If 2D platformers are your idea of fun, this is one of the year's best titles. Extremely varied and fun, both simple and complex, and absolutely recommended. You won't regret it.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 showcases Konami's decline as a reputable video game publisher. Priced unjustifiably high compared to its actual content, the collection offers no significant improvements over the originals. If the documentary additions are the highlight, something has clearly gone wrong. Wait for a substantial price cut, even if you're a die-hard Snake fan.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged doesn't do much to surpass its predecessor's solid foundation. Apart from the introduction of jumping and car bumping, there's little new. It's a carefree, colorful, and fun arcade racing game, but feels more like an update than a new chapter. Fans of the first game will enjoy it, but those seeking innovation should look elsewhere.

It's odd to say Forza Motorsport suffers from growing pains in its eighth installment, but its new live service nature results in a flat and sterile career mode. However, once on the track, Turn10's work shines, showcasing the pinnacle of simcade gameplay and graphics.
