Critic Reviews for Metal: Hellsinger VR
Despite a few technical issues, Metal Hellsinger VR is an exciting way to experience the original game, with one of the best soundtracks ever.
A more than decent (but not perfect) VR transposition for the fun and hellish rhythm shooter from Lab42 Games and The Outsiders, which even in this new version proves to have character, even if the flaws of two years ago are back as they were.

Metal: Hellsinger VR is an absurdly fun version of the original with the same great mechanics perfectly paired with amazing music. While not perfectly adapted to the medium, experiencing it through VR is well worth your time.
Metal: Hellsinger VR is another solid rhythm game for VR headsets, while also being a solid VR re-release of a previously flat title. If you had no interest in Metal: Hellsinger originally, there is nothing here that will sell you to check out the VR version, but if you were a fan of the flat release and have the hardware to check this new version out, I would strongly recommend it.
The game Metal: Hellsinger VR should have been my next favorite title on the PSVR2. Shooting demons to the beat of hard metal should be super cool, but the result is very mediocre. Visually, the PSVR2 has had to give in the most compared to the PC and Meta version. The game also contains only a small number of levels, which means you can finish the game in a few hours. The levels and weapons are not really inspiring to play each level multiple times. You really notice here that the game did not start out as a VR title, the weapons and interactions do not work well at all. Visually, this is also one of the lesser games I have played lately. It sounded so good, but the execution of Metal: Hellsinger VR could really use some autotune.

Metal: Hellsinger VR successfully translates the unique rhythm-shooter concept to virtual reality, offering an intense, physically engaging experience that will delight fans of the original and newcomers alike. The immersive qualities of VR enhance both the visual and auditory aspects of the game, creating moments of pure metal-fueled ecstasy when everything clicks into place. Just be prepared to work up a sweat as you headbang your way through the circles of Hell – and maybe warn your neighbours about the noise.
Transitioning from a classic view to VR doesn’t always work out for every game, which often end up as grotesque and uninspired caricatures of their original identity. But that’s not the case with Metal Hellsinger VR, which actually turned out greatly improved by its foray into virtual reality. Slaughtering demons to intense heavy metal tracks has a unique appeal when you’re called to do it, literally, in first person. Of course, if you don’t enjoy the accompanying music genre, you’re unlikely to appreciate this production by The Outsiders even in its new form. Otherwise, it’s highly recommended.
