Ghostwire Tokyo has a lot to offer. If you're passionate about Japanese settings and lore, this title will provide hours of gameplay with a constant sense of progression, interesting side missions, and an overall structure that encourages 100% completion. Even in the endgame, the game remains fascinating, and exploring Tokyo as Akito and KK leaves a lasting impression, especially with the reflective ending. Highly recommended.

Changing without changing: this sums up Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, the latest installment in the Borderlands saga, though technically a spin-off. There's no revolution, just a slightly different perspective on the classic formula Gearbox introduced about ten years ago. Despite no major changes, the game entertains with its tried-and-true (though repetitive) formula, paradoxical humor, and co-op mode that will delight many players. A good chapter in the saga, confirming its quality, but unable to renew the "static" series.

Despite a fluctuating narrative, Dying Light 2 proved to be a damn fun game with deeper, improved gameplay in every aspect—a well-executed more of the same. There's some disappointment over what Techland's game could and should have been after the announcement. The released title seems somewhat scaled back in its ambitions but remains a worthy successor to the parkour and zombie game from 2015.

GRID Legends is a racing game with a dual nature. The Story mode is unengaging, acting as an extended tutorial for the better Career mode. However, even Career mode seems restrained by underdeveloped management elements. Beyond these issues, the arcade racing experience is intense, fun, content-rich, and varied. Still, there's some disappointment over what this Codemasters production could have been with a bit more effort.

From Software once again proves to be the architect of the soulslike phenomenon, delivering their most complex and accomplished title yet. Elden Ring firmly establishes itself in the genre, expanding and refining Hidetaka Miyazaki's creative vision into a massive and unforgettable experience. Characterized by consistently challenging yet more accessible progression, the Japanese team's work is a captivating and intricate adventure that will enthrall those who embrace its higher-than-normal challenge. Once immersed in this sequence of deaths, Elden Ring rewards players with a meticulously crafted game where every step toward completion is a memorable achievement. You might consider it overrated, but for me, it's undoubtedly my GOTY 2022, barring improbable but welcome surprises.

Among the painful delays of 2021, Horizon Forbidden West was hard to ignore. Now that Guerrilla Games' title is finally here, it's worth celebrating. While it's not the perfect title everyone expected, the improvements over its predecessor are palpable and significant. Everything appears expanded and refined: narrative, world-building, gameplay—all show the team's efforts. However, this abundance of innovations has resulted in a somewhat uneven blend. Technically, there are minor flaws (nothing a few updates can't fix), but especially on PS5, the cross-gen development limits the overall impact. A title aiming for excellence but only brushing it, yet still providing plenty of reasons to be satisfied.

Grim, unsettling, and ruthless, Martha Is Dead's nature highlights its greatness and beauty. LKA's second work captivates players with its gripping and ruthless narrative. Despite some imperfections, the desire to untangle the plot is strong. Excited for their next work.

Wanderer is a fun, well-crafted game with a detailed narrative and well-designed puzzles. Currently lacks subtitles and translations, making it less accessible to Italian players. Visuals are enchanting, though technical aspects like game physics and exploration need refinement. Recommended for future time travelers.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is a good game reflecting Frontier's passion for the film saga. Fans will enjoy it, but management enthusiasts might find shortcomings in visitor management and early sandbox mode. With more effort, it could appeal to a broader audience.

Paper Dolls 2 has good intentions but stumbles repeatedly. Setting and structure are interesting, but gameplay needs refinement. Localization limits make puzzles challenging, and the combat system is cumbersome and punitive, which may discourage players.

Windlands 2 expands the 2017 experience with new combat mechanics, though slightly penalized on PSVR. Delayed conversion to Sony hardware means its ideas now need more. Still, enjoyable enough for PSVR libraries.

The remastered version of Skunkape Games' titles is well-received, improving the original games in various aspects and bringing them to consoles. However, controls with a pad instead of a mouse can be frustrating. Still, once accustomed, the game is enjoyable.

Halo Infinite blends past and future of Xbox's flagship brand. The mix of standard sections and open maps is intriguing but lacks full vision. Future updates may improve it. Currently, the single-player campaign is solid but not exceptional.

Battlefield 2042 is good but not excellent. Some new features stand out, but it doesn't surpass the best entries. Accessible to newcomers but has technical issues. Not the best, but not the worst either.

The Smurfs – Mission Vileaf is a fun return for Peyo's characters. Not exceptional but entertaining and not too challenging. Lacks personality in situations and character gameplay, but still a solid 3D platformer.
