Goosebumps: Terror in Little Creek may not reinvent the genre, but it hits the mark. It captures the spirit of R.L. Stine’s books with a solid story and a well-balanced mix of exploration, puzzles, and action. While the technical side isn’t flawless, the experience remains smooth and enjoyable. With full Italian localization and an accessible plot, it’s a great entry point into survival horror for younger players. Faithful to its source and delivering just the right amount of chills, it’s a solid pick for fans or those seeking a lighter horror adventure.

"Echoes of the End is an adventure I can't wholeheartedly recommend, but at its budget price, it might offer you around ten hours of entertainment, thanks to its combat, puzzles, and - above all - the stunning visuals, which somewhat clash with the game's technical execution.

If you’re a fan of deck-building and fast-paced arcade action, Kill the Brickman is a must-try. The combination of strategy, chaos, and creativity in crafting projectiles creates gameplay that is both deep and surprisingly long-lasting. The game rewards experimentation and smart planning, offering a constantly fresh and engaging challenge. With its unique style and quirky sense of humor, this title not only entertains but also captivates those who love facing unpredictable enemies and crafting increasingly outrageous weapons. In short: a game that will make you laugh, think, and sweat all at once, with fun always taking center stage.

84 / 100 - Gradius Origins
Aug 19, 2025

Ultimately, Gradius Origins proves to be a collection capable of delivering dozens of hours of entertainment, adapting to every type of player. Nostalgic fans will be able to rediscover the original challenging difficulty and relive the emotions of the arcades, while newcomers will have the chance to approach the saga thanks to simplified modes designed not to discourage them. Completionists, for their part, will find a treasure trove of sketches, illustrations, and original manuals a true historical archive to explore at leisure. To top it all off, there are online leaderboards and, above all, the brand-new Salamander 3, which brings further freshness and replayability to the package. This is, therefore, a collection that doesn’t simply celebrate the past, but manages to make it feel alive and surprisingly modern. It’s true that the absence of certain titles such as Gradius IV and Gradius V may give some pause, but this in no way undermines the high quality of Gradius Origins.

Mafia: The Old Country marks a welcome return for the series, trading the excesses of modern open worlds for a tight, story-driven experience. Historical authenticity, strong characters, and a beautifully recreated Sicilian setting make it both engaging and cinematic. Unfortunately, a barebones, uninnovative gameplay, underwhelming knife duels, and simplistic AI hold it back. While Enzo Favara’s journey remains a significant chapter, it’s not quite enough to restore the series to its former glory.

78 / 100 - Sengoku Dynasty
Aug 8, 2025

Sengoku Dynasty offers players a true escape from reality, giving them the chance to build a new life in feudal Japan. Despite some unpolished mechanics and an overall slow pace, the game delivers a vast and varied gameplay experience that, with enough patience, can definitely be rewarding.

85 / 100 - Ready or Not
Aug 7, 2025

Ready or Not is a bold and satisfying return to tactical shooters. With deep, realistic gameplay and solid level design, it delivers a tense and rewarding experience — especially in singleplayer. While the technical side shows its indie roots and the story is nearly absent, the core gameplay is strong enough to make it a standout in the genre.

Jamboree TV adds variety to an already feature-rich title, but it does so in a way that's not entirely satisfying. It doesn’t improve the original experience, which remains limited to backward compatibility, and it introduces an exclusive mode that feels completely disconnected and is limited to just 20 mini-games. Not bad, but we were hoping for a bit more.

69 / 100 - Wild Hearts S
Aug 2, 2025

Wild Hearts S is a title that definitely has its merits, offering a straightforward hunting experience suitable for new players, but it absolutely needs to drop the Katana Engine once and for all in order to make the leap it truly deserves.

79 / 100 - Killing Floor 3
Aug 1, 2025

Killing Floor 3 is a good game, flaws aside. In fact, in its best games, it still manages to deliver the same adrenaline, cooperation, and bloody thrills as it did in the past. But it's also a product that seems to be chasing modern trends—monetization, battle passes, seasonal content—to the detriment of the arcade purity that made the series so beloved. If you're playing with a group of friends and looking for a PvE experience filled with chaos and monsters, Killing Floor 3 has a lot to offer. But if you were expecting a sequel faithful to the spirit of the second installment, you might be disappointed by a whole series of systems and subsystems that, overall, weigh down the overall gaming experience.

Dear Me, I Was is a short interactive drama by Arc System Works that tells the story of a woman's life through emotional, hand-painted visuals and subtle point-and-click mechanics. Using rotoscoped animation and watercolor art, the game blends narrative and visual storytelling in a unique, deeply personal way. Though minimal in gameplay, every interaction carries emotional weight, making it a heartfelt reflection on memory, loss, and the beauty of everyday life. It’s not for those seeking action, but for players open to unconventional storytelling, it’s a powerful, unforgettable experience.

80 / 100 - Luto
Jul 29, 2025

Now in its final form, Luto emerges as a compelling psychological horror. While clearly inspired by P.T., it carves out a distinct identity thanks to its deeply unsettling atmosphere. Rather than relying on cheap jumpscares, Luto builds tension through psychological discomfort, supported by a strong narrative, maze-like level design, and masterful spatial audio. Despite its simple gameplay, it delivers a haunting experience that proves psychological horror still has the power to surprise and resonate.

60 / 100 - Shadow Labyrinth
Jul 28, 2025

Shadow Labyrinth is a missed opportunity. The concept—reimagining Pac-Man as a dark metroidvania—is bold and intriguing, with promising ideas like mech transformations and classic mazes. But the execution falters: sluggish pacing and minimal character progression make it hard to stay engaged. The level design also takes too long to get interesting, a major flaw for any metroidvania. In the end, it’s an ambitious experiment with untapped potential that needed a stronger push to truly shine.

Monument Valley III returns in widescreen format, offering a top-tier artistic experience, despite an overall duration that may be too short to be fully rewarded. The absence of the promised DLC at launch is disappointing, as it is now expected to arrive in winter 2025 along with a substantial, yet unspecified, update. Despite this, we warmly recommend it.

Ultimately, this re-release proves to be disappointing and uninspired. Despite the undeniable value of its original story and mechanics, it's hard to recommend the console version—especially to those without a strong sense of nostalgia for the game. A missed opportunity that deserved far more care and attention.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 brings back the thrill of classic arcade skating with fluid gameplay, gorgeous level design, and creative new modes. While some design choices—especially around THPS 4—may disappoint longtime fans, the overall experience remains a highly enjoyable tribute to the golden age of skateboarding games.
