The Mildew Children delivers a haunting atmosphere and a story full of ritual and mystery. Strong narrative and replayability shine, but clunky QTEs and lack of localization hold it back.

85 / 100 - NBA 2K26
Sep 23, 2025

NBA 2K26 offers interesting gameplay additions and a whole host of small touches that further enhance the audiovisual experience. Content-wise, some welcome changes have been made (such as the single-player story mode), although in other areas, substantial changes are largely minor. The issue of microtransactions remains unresolved, as well as a certain difficulty navigating the game's sea of menus and options. Despite this, it remains one of the best sports games out there.

67 / 100 - Baby Steps
Sep 23, 2025

Baby Steps comes with several negations: it isn’t a great title, it doesn’t have superb gameplay, it doesn’t take itself seriously in the slightest, but above all it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. On the contrary, it’s perfectly aware of being a game with a dynamic soundtrack, a vast level design as big as a mountain where everything can send you back, and various completely useless elements like non-collectible hats, inevitably lost at the next fall. The greatest challenge is the one against the player themselves, who will have to put their patience and tolerance to the ultimate test in order to face an absolutely arduous experience. Recommended only for those with nerves of steel.

80 / 100 - Silent Hill f
Sep 22, 2025

Silent Hill f is a bold experiment, breaking from the past while keeping the series’ soul. The new setting and tone work surprisingly well, delivering emotional impact and a fresh, unconventional protagonist. Stunning art direction and sound design capture both unease and beauty. Unfortunately, the clunky, frustrating combat system drags the experience down. Neobards took a brave risk and partly succeeded, but the game could have been so much more.

Frostpunk 2 is an ambitious sequel that expands the scope of the original with deeper political systems, layered management mechanics, and a striking presentation powered by Unreal Engine 5. It’s a compelling mix of survival, city building, and social simulation that can easily absorb players for dozens of hours. Unfortunately, the console version suffers from major interface and control issues. Menu navigation is often clunky or unresponsive, turning simple actions into frustrating tasks. These problems heavily affect the overall experience and weigh down the final score. With proper patches, Frostpunk 2 could truly shine on console. For now, its brilliance is dimmed by technical shortcomings.

Grit and Valor – 1949 isn’t a game for everyone: it’s tough, demanding, and at times ruthless—but that’s exactly where its strength lies. Milky Tea Studios delivers more than entertainment; it offers a constant challenge that encourages players to fail, learn, and grow. While the story takes a back seat, some missions repeat, and balance can falter, these flaws don’t overshadow the core experience. For fans of strategic roguelikes who want every battlefield decision to matter, this is a title worth playing.

The Edge of Allegoria is a retro turn-based RPG filled with dark humor and satire. Its weapon mastery system is clever, though balance issues and grinding keep it from greatness.

Cronos: The New Dawn proves that survival horror can still evolve without losing its essence. Bloober Team delivers a bold, mature, and unsettling experience that demands patience and emotional resilience. It stands out in a gaming landscape often dulled by safe formulas. If you're looking for a disturbing, thought-provoking title that leaves you feeling vulnerable in the best way, Cronos deserves a spot in your digital library. It's not perfect, but it's honest—and that’s rare in today’s gaming world.

If you’ve never played Gears of War and want to experience the thrill, go ahead. Otherwise, we’re looking at a title that is undoubtedly iconic, but shows its age, in a version that makes little sense to exist other than to introduce the brand to the PlayStation audience, while offering very little beyond that.

Ultimately, Rally Arcade Classics is a title that may seem simple at first glance, but beneath the surface it hides a solid and enduring structure. It’s a game that will be loved by those seeking a nostalgic experience, filled with fast-paced races, unlockable objectives, and methodical progression, but it may bore players who are looking for a quick and carefree arcade experience. It’s not a “triple-A” game, nor does it aim to be, but within its niche it fully achieves its goal: delivering an old-school, authentic race that is challenging just enough and surprisingly rich in content.

Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots isn’t the triumphant comeback we dreamed of, but it’s the one we needed. Despite some technical hiccups and clumsy nostalgia, it brings us back to those carefree virtual greens. Hyde took on a heavy legacy and, without reinventing the wheel, honored it with care. If you grew up with Minna no Golf, you’ll find familiar comfort here—maybe a bit stale, but still satisfying. Isn’t that the charm of tradition?

80 / 100 - Metal Eden
Sep 10, 2025

While it lacks a deep personality, Metal Eden is a top-notch sci-fi shooter, packed with action and adrenaline. The gameplay is lightning-fast, the mechanics are clever, and the style is well-researched, including the design, music, and gameplay. The production has its limitations, especially in terms of overall replayability, but these will likely be ironed out over time. Regardless, Metal Eden remains a high-quality experience at a relatively reasonable price.

Black Myth: Wukong is one of the most captivating action RPG experiences of recent years. It combines a complex and varied combat system, memorable bosses, a world rich in atmosphere, and top-tier technical execution. Whether or not you have read the story that inspired and is honored by this game, all we can do is recommend picking up your controller and striking down anyone who stands between you and following in the footsteps of the legendary Monkey King.

68 / 100 - Lost Soul Aside
Sep 5, 2025

For a project born from the vision of a single developer determined to bring his idea to life, in a sense, the goal has been achieved: Lost Soul Aside is indeed a lengthy and somewhat varied adventure which, while overall rather dull, can still manage to entertain for around twenty hours. However, the asking price and, above all, the PlayStation brand looming over the title inevitably create expectations that are left unfulfilled, due to a series of issues that undermine its overall quality. What remains is the regret of a missed opportunity, softened only by a combat system that, taken on its own, still manages to deliver some genuinely enjoyable moments. A real shame.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a top-notch remake that manages to be both respectful of the past and significantly alter its essence. The game is a legendary chapter in an immortal saga, so its value as a game is undeniable. Konami has introduced several new features, both in terms of gameplay and content, although the game still shows its age in some aspects. Aside from a few minor technical issues (including a less than flawless fluidity), the nostalgia effort can easily be described as a success.

Super Robot Wars Y isn’t for everyone, but fans of mecha know exactly what they’re getting: a nostalgic blast of flashy battles, fanservice, and iconic giant robots. Despite some technical hiccups and a slow-starting story, it delivers hours of strategy, customization, and pure mecha fun. The steep content price and lack of Italian localization are drawbacks, but for those who grew up dreaming of piloting Mazinger or Gundam, this game feels like coming home.

Robots at Midnight by Finish Line Games delivers a passable experience, hitting its key points but in a simplistic, overly formulaic way. While the project avoids major flaws, its execution feels bland and uninspired—especially puzzling given the crowded release window. It's a decent entry-level soulslike for newcomers with modest expectations, but unlikely to impress seasoned players.

I had low expectations for Space Adventure Cobra – The Awakening, but Magic Pocket truly surprised me. This digital revival of Buichi Terasawa’s iconic space pirate is both a faithful tribute and a fun, varied action-platformer that captures the spirit of the original series. Despite some minor trial-and-error gameplay and a lack of unlockable extras, it’s well-crafted and offers great value. Whether you're a longtime fan or new to Cobra and his Psycho-gun, there's plenty to enjoy—especially at such a modest price.

Midnight Murder Club is a successful experiment—a horror party game that's eerie, strategic, and unexpectedly fun. It doesn’t revolutionize the genre, but stylishly reinvents it by focusing entirely on multiplayer. If you enjoy games that blend tension and fun, and have friends to play with, joining this club might become your next late-night obsession.

Hinokami Chronicles isn’t exactly the sequel I was hoping for. Alongside a campaign that is excellent in many respects, the game offers a graphical and technical compartment identical to the previous one, weighed down by substantial gameplay changes that result in frustrating and nerve-wracking battles. Online, victory basically goes to whoever has the most overtuned character and has memorized the longest combos with precision, effectively leaving the opponent with no chance to counterattack. As always, recommended for fans only.
