70 / 100 - The Bridge
Aug 26, 2015

Overall, The Bridge gets by well on its unique influence, style and on its difficulty.

So the games look and sound great, so how do they play? Wonderfully! The controls are responsive and the feel of playing these games from the NES days is totally there.

Gears fans, as well as those new to the series, will be satisfied with this "Ultimate Edition" offers, as it's way more then just an HD remake.

50 / 100 - DiscStorm

Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if this game appears on browsers in the next year, and this same team will take off the training wheels and fully express their creative freedom in a truly definitive future product.

91 / 100 - Until Dawn
Aug 24, 2015

While Until Dawn lacks complex gameplay, it counters with compelling characters, astounding visuals, and a thought provoking storyline. A masterful fusion of art forms, Until Dawn is a refreshingly self-aware experience that no thriller fan should pass up.

88 / 100 - Madden NFL 16
Aug 24, 2015

Overall, I am quite happy with this year's installment in the Madden NFL franchise. While the changes may not be as sweeping as we have seen in the past, Madden NFL 16 feels like the most complete Madden I have played in well over 10-years. I cannot recall a time where I wanted to play every single mode offered in the game over and over. That is the case this year.

[S]ome game mechanic issues and maxing out your armies, coupled with an undercover pay-to-play issue, keeps it from being a great investment. Regardless, if you're old enough to remember playing with the toys found in this game, or you just want a good tower defense game to play, this is definitely one to check out!

Fans looking for a fighting game with deep gameplay that rewards mastery of game mechanics best look elsewhere. Fans of the characters that just want to run amuck with them for awhile should be pleasantly diverted. At least for awhile.

85 / 100 - SMITE
Aug 19, 2015

SMITE feels natural to play on Xbox One with a controller, something I was unsure it would as it's a very 'clicky' experience on PC. With the Xbox One now having its first MOBA, hopefully this will open the doors for others to come to the platform, as long as they are done properly and with care, just like SMITE.

66 / 100 - Kyn
Aug 19, 2015

Even with all of its issues, Kyn is a decent RPG featuring an incredible soundtrack. The developers are still working on ironing out the remaining bugs, but this is definitely still worth picking up if you're craving a new action-RPG during the remaining days of this summer lull.

Perhaps with a little more time on some polishing (or even a patch) this game would be very easy for me to love. In turn, I think the game is likely better than I'm giving it credit for and that my lack of skill is what really made the game challenging. Go out there and prove me wrong, if you dare.

64 / 100 - ZOMBI
Aug 18, 2015

The atmosphere in Zombi is fantastic. It is dark, creepy and the visibility in the game adds to the tension. - See more at: http://canadianonlinegamers.com/review/zombi-review/#sthash.BSx9s4cG.dpuf

80 / 100 - Galak-Z
Aug 17, 2015

Galak-Z does a great job of proving why arcade shooters can still be quite fun. The crazy flight controls feel good, enemy variety is spot on, and the laser customization really lets you shoot the way you want to.

55 / 100 - Submerged

As broken as the world is, it's also incredibly beautiful. The unfortunate part however, is that it isn't all that varied.

Rapture's audio design is top notch. The sound design is truly one of the reason's why the game creates such an amazing and believable atmosphere.

What I can't understand though is that games that scream online multiplayer don't always get the online functionality, and if online was added here it could have turned this good game into a fairly amazing one. Regardless, Extra Innings is a solid game to sit on the couch and play with some friends and family as you'll have fun doing so.

70 / 100 - The Swindle

So yeah, new platform equals franchise reboot that also includes new advances in the core of the game, which is what really matters. F1 2015 comes off as a peek of what is to come in the seasons ahead.

All in all Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment definitely could've used more polish. If you can look past its flaws though, there is a reasonably addictive RPG here with a fun combat system and entertaining relationship structure.
