Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection Reviews
The Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection is a fun trio of games that will challenge most action fans while providing plenty of gore and flashy combat. There are times the games remind us that this series kicked off in the mid 2000’s, with camera angles that can still aggravate and a narrative that has not aged particularly well. Thankfully the combat is as fast and fun as ever, despite not really adding any extras to fully round it out as an actual collection.
Whether you’re an old fan of Ninja Gaiden or if you’ve never played the games, this is a solid collection that any action fan should look to add to their library.
The Ninja Gaiden trilogy may have been great in its day, but today its flaws are more evident than ever.

A very low-effort remaster collection, that even pales in comparison with the same games ran via enhanced backward compatibility on Xbox.

NINJA GAIDEN: Master Collection bundles three good action games that are still fun to play years after their original release dates, and have made a pretty smooth transition over to Nintendo Switch, despite some of the hiccups I mentioned earlier. While some aspects didn’t age well, like Sigma‘s camera issues, I still think these three titles are solid action games and worth picking up. I think that NINJA GAIDEN fans, and fans of action games in general, will still find a lot to love here. The games still have fun combat, good music, beautiful character models, and the baddest ninja in the world, Ryu Hayabusa. A standard edition copy will cost $39.99 on the Nintendo eShop, and I feel this bundle is definitely worth that. If you want something extra, you can also get the deluxe edition for $49.99 which comes with a digital art book and soundtrack. Are you ready to fulfill your ninja fantasy and step into the shoes of the world’s strongest ninja?
Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection is a collection that is worth only by its good games. In this, the game does not disappoint and is worth its price. Even with a decreasing level of quality, the average of the three games is still very high. Ryu Hayabusa's extreme adventures are a must for anyone who enjoys the hack and slash genre, featuring action-packed fights and frenzied combat. Besides the campaigns, there are many missions, secrets and extra challenges to enjoy each of the titles. Whether you're a fan of the ninja way or not, this is an excellent option for your library.

After playing Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection, I understand why the fan community, though small in numbers, has held the franchise so high and has been craving a quality successor for years. At the same time, it's clear that neither game is perfect. I find flaws in each of them, especially in the performance of the last two in Switch, but even so the first two parts provided me with moments in which I had the great pleasure of enjoying the story of the plot and rooting for Ryu and the other protagonists.

Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection offers a selection of games that still feel spectacular to play today thanks to their brutal hack-and-slash action. With the satisfyingly fast-paced combat, the frantic boss encounters, and some slick level design, there’s plenty on offer in Ryu Hayabusa’s ultra-violent adventures to keep wannabe ninjas hooked in until the very end – even if the camera angles are a bit sketchy here and there. And hey, even Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge might not be as bad as you remember. It’s not great, sure, but it’s still fun to play and compliments the sheer brilliance of the first two titles.
This is a fantastic opportunity to re/visit one of the most influential action franchises of all time. The first one may not be as revolutionary as when it first came out and the third one is actually better than how it was treated when it first came out but as a whole, this is a pretty worthy proposition.

Overall, the Ninja Gaiden Master Collection is possibly worth considering. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 is still a fantastic game, and Sigma 2 is not a bad game, despite being a downgrade. You are still being lugged with Razor’s Edge of course, but that may be a tax worth paying. Unless you’re on Switch. Switch owners should stay far, far away from this collection. Ryu Hyabusa deserved better and we can only hope he gets it on the other platforms.
Ninja Gaiden Master Collection is a fun adventure and a great collection for those that love action games! Excellent opportunity for someone looking to get into the series for the first time!
The Master Collection for Ninja Gaiden is an enjoyable look at two and a half great games, but not in their best forms. It has much of the DLC and extra bits thrown in, but nothing new that makes this collection worthwhile, except to new fans.
Ninja Gaiden Master Collection is a must-play for action fans, especially those seeking titles demanding on-the-fly reactions and arduous trials of failing and learning. The first two entries are as masterclass as you can get, and the third, while questionable in several areas, also proves to be more than an adequate investment of time. With a steal of a price, you really can’t go wrong with purchasing this compilation and diving into dozens of hours of high-octane ninja fun and busty babes.
The grandmaster of difficult action games is back. The Ninja Gaiden Master Collection pulls no punches, nor does it change or cater to modern sensibilities. It’s as classic as it was in 2004, with some crow’s feet doing little to tarnish it. It’s still absolutely nails, but if you’re a fan, you can’t go wrong with Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 & 2. Oh, and the third game is in there too.
The Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection does what it came for in spades. That’s even more so whether you go for it on older gen consoles like the PlayStation 4 as I did for this review, or like my pal Leo did on Nintendo Switch (link to be included when this goes live), where they run as smoothly as expected for older titles such as these.
The Ninja Gaiden Master Collection offers solid performance updates for some of the best hack-and-slash titles of the ps3 era, inlcuding some of their dlcs but doesn't fix all of their problems, which are mostly present in the camera controls of Ninja Gaiden 3. The changes are minimalistic for a remastered collection and there was a lot of potential in it but it is still the best way to experience the world of Ninja Gaiden for newcomers.

the Ninja Gaiden Master Collection offers some of the best hack and slash games out there, even after all these years.
Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection is a good edition for some games that were already very good in themselves, but in a way it is a lost opportunity to revive a mythical saga of the 2000s. This collection brings together all the essence that made the saga great on Xbox 360 and PS3, but they could have risked more and improved sections such as control or graphic quality to have offered a uniform and more complete product, but preserving that essence and the good story that encompasses the trilogy.

Ninja Gaiden: Master collection offers us one of the best trilogies of recent years in its most complete versions and loaded with content. Unfortunately, the presentation of the games is very poor and the way things have been done is worthy of the greatest reproach. Even so, they are games that are well worth playing and should be recommended if we are not very demanding with technical issues.
