Let's face it: you have no excuses anymore for not playing this little gem.

Sonic Colors largely holds up well, and Ultimate is a great way to return or introduce yourself to what is arguably the best designed 3D Sonic game so far.
Colors is indeed a game where players can fully appreciate the charm of the Sonic series.

A serviceable remaster that reminds us of how good Sonic games can be when they're done right.
Sonic Colors: Ultimate is a fantastic remaster of a much-loved title in the series. There are a few hiccups in the road, with awful cutscenes and lacklustre unlocks. It's classic Sonic in a 3D setting and your enjoyment will stem from your love of the series. If you're looking for a reinvention of the formula, this probably isn't for you, but if you want to experience the iconic series with refined gameplay, beautiful visuals and tons of replayability, this is the best 3D Sonic game to grace Xbox since Sonic Generations.
Sonic Colors: Ultimate is a great game, focused on the action that really matters for Sonic and with interesting gameplay mechanics. There are some bad things and cutscenes with weird graphics, in addition to being relatively short. However, there's plenty of optional content that makes up for that.

Sonic Colors: Ultimate brings a decade old game to a modern audience and despite some prevailing franchise issues it’s still an overall good time. Racing through these levels, using the Wisp powers, and picking up all the collectibles is fun so long as the controls aren’t getting in the way. The game’s new lick of paint makes it look really good and performance is super smooth as it should be. I missed this game when it originally released and am glad I got the chance to experience it now. Hopefully the next new actual Sonic game can figure out the control issues though.
Although Sonic Colors Ultimate has many small and coarse problems, it is again one of the best 3D versions of the series.

Sonic Colors Ultimate is the definitive edition of the famous game that made it big on Wii. To the visual and performance improvements we must add the amount of extras and new features added to make it even more enjoyable. An edition that no fan of the blue hedgehog should miss if he wants to remember one of the best games of the character.

Sonic Colors Ultimate is still an entertaining modern Sonic the Hedgehog game, and this latest version feels tighter and looks sharp.
Sonic Colors: Ultimate may not be truly ultimate, but it’s a well worthwhile return to an oft-missed game.
An impressive remaster of an already entertaining Sonic game, this should keep Sonic fans busy until we get something new (as long as you're happy replaying levels for S-Ranks, because otherwise it's pretty short).
Sonic Colors: Ultimate is certainly a fun game. Whether you’re new or have played the original Sonic Colors, Ultimate is something we’d recommend if it’s caught your eye. With its multiple variety of levels and unique worlds, there’s a lot of fun to be had trying to get the high scores in Sonic Colors: Ultimate.
Sonic Colors: Ultimate is exactly what I like to see in a Sonic game: it's fun, it's fast, and the level design is exceptional. Developer Blind Squirrel Games has also added some quality-of-life features that make it welcoming for younger fans as well. It would have been nice to see the game's cutscenes receive the same visual upgrade that the rest of the game got, but that's a minor gripe. For fans that missed out on Sonic Colors when it first released, or those looking to revisit the game, Sonic Colors: Ultimate offers one of the best experiences to ever feature the blue blur.
A good remaster for one of the most appreciated 3D chapters of the franchise.

Sonic Colours: Ultimate improves on the fine game released many years ago on Wii, but after all this time it was fair to expect something more, especially for the hedgehog's 30th birthday.

Sonic Colors: Ultimate is a great remaster that lacks something new to engage those players of the original version.

Despite some issues, Sonic Colors: Ultimate is a fun, replayable, fast-paced Sonic game with a distinct variety of stages. The new additions provide a small extra layer of depth to an already fantastic game, but it would have been nice to see more gameplay additions. If you're after an excellent journey through space, then Sonic Colors: Ultimate is definitely worth your time. As per usual, don't go in expecting the Nintendo Switch version to be the definitive version to play, as the game obviously plays better on other platforms. However, being able to play this classic portably is something to be excited about.
Maybe it is not one of the best Sonic Games, however still funny a great in handheld mode.
