Critic Reviews for Green Hell VR
None of Green Hell VR: Quest Edition feels like filler. It takes some adaptation, but it's still an immersive adventure into the unknown.
If you are into survival games, then Green Hell VR is definitely worth your time. Nature lovers will also find something in this game to experience and enjoy.
Green Hell VR is a great survival game also in virtual reality for PC, certainly one of the best. The interactions are less accurate and responsive than those in the excellent version for Quest 2, but overall the audiovisual impact balances these differences and offers one of the most vivid "wilderness" settings ever seen in VR.

Green Quest VR is a clever conversion, trading some of the complexity of the original title for a priceless feeling of immersion. Despite the predictable sacrifices in terms of graphics, the result is excellent and satisfying, tailored around a VR experience that requires the player to undergo a much greater effort than on PC (and yes, we're talking about cardio). The original is on the whole superior, but in the perspective of virtual reality Green Hell VR is an excellent version of a very appreciated game.

Overall, the Quest version of Green Hell is successful, albeit limited, and able to drag players into the wild jungle for many hours, teasing them thanks to the peculiarities of virtual reality. In short, it is a very stimulating experience that deserves to be included in your library of VR games.

Ultimately Green Hell VR is a bit like a mature Minecraft that is set in a more realistic and dangerous jungle setting. It somehow feels a lot more important to make sure you are getting your food and rest in Green Hell VR though and the consequences of not building shelter and some survival tools certainly seems more dire when you are experiencing it in VR.
The green hell of the Amazonian rain forest will draw you even more into its bowels in virtual reality and brings you much more intense experience.

Green Hell VR on Quest 2 is an audio-visual showcase that sets a high bar for future Quest 2 titles and ports. It does so by making smart adjustments to the original game without compromising its core experience and gameplay. The streamlining of open spaces makes the experience easier, especially for those familiar with the title, but the gameplay is immersive yet unforgiving. It's not entirely smooth sailing, with some annoying bugs and frame rate stutters and some inherently frustrating gameplay moments that can take some wind out of its sails. As far as survival games on the Quest 2 go, Green Hell VR is the most immersive of all, and it's a great pick for survival fans who want to experience some rainforest survival training in virtual reality.
