The Last Days of Lazarus Reviews
Overall, there’s nothing particularly impressive about Last Days of Lazarus. Its story is perhaps the main reason to play it: it lacks real impact, but it’s so corny and unhinged that you can’t help but get drawn into it. Outside of that, the gameplay is mildly entertaining but not really clever or challenging. Add in its middling presentation, and you have a game that can be enjoyed for a few hours but is utterly forgettable.
Last Days of Lazarus is a bizarre but wonderful story that is captivating and creepy. However, the action is held back by bugs and a short story. What's more, the heavy reliance on religious images may be off-putting.
Although it's occasionally irritating to play, Last Days of Lazarus remains gripping thanks to its jaw-dropping variety of disturbing situations.
Last Days of Lazarus is a fun indie (almost) horror game with a lot to puzzle over. The game is well designed, taking much inspiration from the developer's Romanian roots. The voice acting does leave much to be desired but the gameplay and exploration were a good offset.
Last Days of Lazarus sets itself apart with lasting religious themes and compelling interior spaces. Unfortunately some tedious item-hunting and unappealing walks outside prevent this first-person adventure from rising above.
The battle of good and evil will be Lazarus's final challenge.
