Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly Reviews
Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly refuses to fix what isn't broken, and it adds a few new mechanics that freshen up the gameplay just enough. While elements of its narrative aren't quite as strong as those of the first Coffee Talk, it remains an incredibly chill and peaceful experience, and I'd gladly play through as many episodes as the developers choose to bless us with. Catching up with old friends is one of my favorite pastimes, and being able to do it in video game form is something I can definitely raise a glass to.
Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly is truly a delight, and I only wish that it was longer. It builds on what made the first entry so memorable while delivering a unique narrative of its own. While returning fans will find a few familiar story beats, the updated items on the menu keep things fresh and engaging. This is one brew you’ll really want to savor.
Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly does a phenomenal job of wrapping up everyone’s storylines in a thoughtful and meaningful way. Although the gameplay remains largely unchanged, Coffee Talk Episode 2 is still a fantastic sequel that keeps all the cozy vibes strong.
You don't need many hours to complete this title, which is ideal to play on a handheld console like Nintendo Switch under the covers, yet the title is free on Game Pass. Are you ready to return to Seattle and hear the stories of the strange customers of our Coffee Shop?

Rather than greatly expanding the scope of the original, "Episode 2" refines its visuals and gives fans more of what they loved about the original game.
Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly may not change much from the first game, but that’s because it doesn’t have to. Perfection was already achieved the first cup around — the second cup tastes just as good. With that being said, the new faces and teas bring a unique flavor to the table, and we’re all the richer for their inclusion. If you’re ready for a cup of something warm to go along with relaxing lo-fi beats and thoughtful conversation, Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly has a seat at the bar with your name on it.
Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus and Butterfly is steeped in the same lo-fi chill atmosphere as its predecessor. Light touch gameplay gives way to heady and heartfelt conversations full of flavour, and despite little in the way of invention, it never lets the milk curdle. Savour it like a nice warm beverage, until you have to say that bittersweet farewell.
Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly is the sequel to the title Coffee Talk, a visual novel where we will be a barista who prepares hot drinks to his customers and witnesses their stories.

Toge Productions found a way to distill down the comforts of shared familiarity between friends and the otherwise complex nuances of interpersonal relationships in the piping hot drink known as Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly. Its narrative-first visual novel presentation might scare some away, but just like that complex-sounding drink at your local café with ingredients you've never heard of, it's most definitely worth a taste.
Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly encourages people to think about the little ways they can make the world around them a better place, one drink at a time. It doesn't reach the same emotional crescendos as the original Coffee Talk, but it articulates its vibe so well that it might not matter. For anyone who has ever dreamed of feeling like a regular, Coffee Talk Episode 2 delivers.
Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus and Butterfly is like the second visit in a wonderful café: There's still that awesome quality but the sensation of something special begins to fade.

Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly is what every sequel should be. It revels in its identity but offers something new to explore, all while welcoming you back like an old friend.
Coffee Talk Episode 2 is a relaxing, and absorbing title with an engaging gameplay loop, memorable characters, and excellent writing. It's a great game to play when you to unwind, and immerse yourself in a cozy well realized world with a cast of characters that will stay with you after you've finished your cup of hot brew.
If you've worked in retail you'll recognise the little snapshots of a regular customer's life as they pop in and out of your life. It's those little relationships that this game captures so well and that still works well the second time around, but I did find myself feeling like the magic of the first game didn't hit quite as hard the second time around.
Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus and Butterfly succeeds in what it primarily sets out to do. It gives the player a chance to peek into an intriguing world where people mingle with members of fantasy races and shows what their lives are like as they stop in at the coffee shop that is always open when they need it to be.
This return to the all-night coffee shop means more brewing satisfying drinks and taking the time to listen to, and often help, your patrons
Coffee Talk episode2 successfully inherited the advantages of the original while expanding the story even further. Instead of radical changes in system, the game tries to introduce new mechanics, characters and concept in more subtle, natural ways.

I’ll end this by saying that I didn’t entirely hate my experience with Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly and am glad I made it through because experiencing the characters really was a treat. There are a lot of heart-warming moments and lessons in this title and I am happy I got to learn a few. I just wish there was more to do, especially because the game is not that long to begin with.
All in all Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly is a fundamentally more-of-the-same experience – a charming and very welcome dive back into this world, even if it doesn’t add much new to the formula.
