Aesthetics-wise, Breath of the Wild doesn't exactly feature eye-popping graphics like games on PC and PS4. Which isn't really surprising, considering Nintendo has never been one to go after shiny graphics, prioritising innovation and user experience instead. Nevertheless, Breath of the Wild is a thing of beauty, featuring an anime-like art style that blows every other Zelda game out of the water. Everything is incredibly detailed and immersive in the game.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild will find itself amongst the crème de la crème of a market saturated with open world games. Nintendo has taken a risk in redefining exploration and storyline linearity, yet still manages to produce an experience that feels as epic a story as you’ll ever find. No two people will ever take the same path through the game and even upon completion, the human desire for discovery and intrigue will lead many to venture back to Hyrule in search of many more shrines, korok seeds and random encounters.

Surely you will have realized that this is a must-have for switch games, the ip might really be able to lift the fate of Nintendo, a chapter of a legendary saga that can also be appreciated by those who do not know exactly anything about previous chapters and that pushes to find their own style of play without barking the outsider of those who want to explore and do secondary quests before the end-game game.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a generational leap in game design for open world games. It's not perfect, no game is, but the new take on Nintendo's beloved series coupled with the expert polish and risk taking make Breath of the Wild truly a special game.

How appropriate it is, then, that Breath of the Wild will be remembered as a legend in its own right and, perhaps, the greatest game that Nintendo has ever created. Never has a world impressed me so much.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild takes many open world elements and new ideas and executes them to near perfection. The way the game does its exploration, atmosphere and physics based interactions sets a new standard for video games. This game is truly a masterpiece.

Emergent gameplay, improvisational combat, and player mobility combine to form an open-world sandbox second to none, and a video game experience that ranks among the greatest ever conceived.

Eiji Aonuma has finally outdone Shigeru Miyamoto, and if I were Aonuma I’d just retire considering the success Breath of the Wild will undoubtedly have. It isn’t without its blemishes, but simply put, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a masterpiece that can easily be considered the new defining entry in Nintendo’s beloved series.

While the abundance of content overwhelms and impresses me, with a lot of it being really well polished I find it almost impossible to dislike this game. But that doesn't mean to say it's a perfect game, it has a lot of glaring flaws such as poor combat and lots of frustrating moments that break the immersion. All in all I highly recommend this game, as even with all the cons I found, I still found myself really enjoying almost every second of it and wanting to keep going. It's an astounding game but it doesn't give me the feeling that it's a Zelda game. It holds up really well, but after about 30 hours in the cracks do begin to show, but the game manages to keep holding itself together, something a lot of games fail to do. All in all it's a great game and I'm loving it, it was worth the £60 price tag. It's not the best Zelda game (I'd give that to Wind Waker) nor is it my favourite (Link's Awakening) but it took an ambitious leap and did a great job of it for the most part.

The very first feeling I got from Breath of the Wild was this in a nutshell. Wow! Starting off with \\\"Hey Link, glad you're alive, now GO!\\\" pretty much made it the greatest intro that I could of asked for from someone who absolutely hates tutorials. Sure they give you little hints here and there, a few popups indicating which buttons do what, how to attack and block, but this game gives you nothing to work off of, and it's amazing.

Like The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess before it, Breath of the Wild almost didn't release on the console that it was originally intended for. Unlike Twilight Princess, Breath of the Wild actually released side by side with the newest console and its version of the title. Was it worth it to do both hardware generations? I would say so.

Breath of the Wild might be the best addition to the Zelda franchise. With game changing additions to the gameplay, open world exploration, challenging puzzles and enemies, and stunning graphics and art, Breath of the Wild will capture your attention and give you the Zelda experience you have always dreamed of.

Even though I can take a sizeable time to complain about Breath of the Wild (and that’s not even talking about performance issues), the game is still a very good one. I would comfortably say that after an extensive period of playing Breath of the Wild, I do believe that it is one of the best Legend of Zelda games that has ever been made.
