Critic Reviews for Hidden Through Time 2: Myths & Magic

Hidden Through Time 2 is the perfect family game: relaxed, interactive and creative, and it's one of those rare titles that will keep you coming back for months to find just one more thing.

Hidden Through Time 2: Myths & Magic is fun, but some significant issues (at least on Switch) make it fall slightly short of its predecessor. It might be better to grab this one on sale or when DLC arrives (hopefully with a performance patch). Creative types might not want to wait that long.

While it may not blow anyone’s mind, Hidden Through Time 2: Myths & Magic is a serviceable hidden object game with an exception level editor.

If you enjoy seeking and finding, you’ll get a big kick out of playing Hidden Through Time 2: Myths and Magic. With more than 30 beautifully designed environments, there’s plenty to keep you searching – and when you’ve had enough, you can try your hand at making your own levels. Sure, it’s not going to be for everyone, but if hunting out objects is your jam, there are several hours of fun to be had here.

Hidden Through Time 2: Myth & Magic brings a more of the same comfortable and fun hidden object search. I missed the aesthetic evolution, but the ambition was invested in the Architect mode for the creation and sharing of new levels, greatly increasing the possibilities of enjoying this lovely and relaxing game that, even if it is for only one player, can be enjoyed with the whole family.

Hidden Through Time 2: Myths & Magic may be a casual game, but it offers a hardcore experience for the fans of the hidden-objects genre. It is a puzzle game that has a catchy visual style, it is full of details and offers many hours of fun.

Slightly better puzzles and more visual variety make Hidden Through Time 2 more enjoyable than its predecessor, but do not expect a lot of depth from this pastime of a game. There’s just so much you can do with a game that’s essentially Where’s Waldo with a different art style. I appreciate the improved presentation, better UI, and community-created content, even if the latter will remind you of how unfair the first game’s puzzles were by the end of it.
