After a long build of anticipation for College Football 25, EA Sports kicks it right through the uprights. They give us the opportunity to live out our biggest college football dreams in a beautiful and atmospheric journey through multiple modes. Between Dynasty Mode, Road to Glory, Road to the CFP, and Head 2 Head; there's something here for every type of player. If you loved NCAA 14, this game is everything you would want and more.
EA Sports College Football 25 is an imperfect comeback of sorts, but still offers engaging gameplay while capturing high stakes and raw emotion of the sport.

All in all, that its depth isn’t quite there is more understandable when considering this is the return of the series. It’s a home that’s being rehabbed from 2013. The outside looks great now, but the master bathroom and the kitchen still need to be updated to match where we’re at now in 2024.

It's been the runaway hit of the summer and has secured an immediate seat at the sports pop culture table. I was legitimately sad when this series dropped off years and years ago, and its return - even with its flaws - was cause for celebration. College Football 25 clearly understood the assignment. Now we'll see what happens next.
The return of the college football franchise is a pleasant surprise, and the gameplay of EA Sports College Football 25 does not disappoint. However, the content of the game is another matter and the quality is not as clear. It's not that the content is bad, it's just that the developers play it too safe in terms of modes. So even if this is your first time with the series, you'll be very familiar with how these modes work and what to expect from them from the other games.

EA Sports College Football 25 makes up for some wonky menus and a lack of tentpole modes by bringing the good stuff where it matters. The gridiron action here is fast and snappy, offense feels fantastically responsive, and defensive plays are easier to read and consider thanks to a combination of clear layouts and more time and space on the ball. It looks great, sounds great, plays great and has thusly become our (American) football game of choice going forward. Madden 25, it's over to you.
All games represent a new language to learn but to throw on that learning a whole sport and its quirks can feel daunting, but that’s the beauty in Video Games! When playing CFB25 you are given the tools to learn the sport more inherently, and there’s no other football game out right now that feels as fast, responsive, and dynamic as this one!
Fast-paced and hard-hitting gameplay brings the excitement of the collegiate gridiron back to gaming in College Football 25. Even with a few areas for refinement, the foundational Dynasty and Road to Glory experiences make this the best football game in years.
As a pure gameplay experience, CFB 25 is both challenging and rewarding in ways that Madden and 2K aren't. However, it's not the game we've waited 11 years for. Dynasty lacks a lot of depth and quality-of-life changes that were present in NCAA 14, alongside a mind-numbingly inane UI and drumline menu songs.
College Football 25 is a very well-made football game that is more about the game than anything else. Maybe because what matters more is the team you use, not the players, but it has me hooked for whatever reason.
While it has some performance issues and can be challenging for new players, its depth and variety make it a worthwhile experience for fans of college football. The integration with Madden 25 adds an extra layer of continuity for those looking to extend their football careers from college to the NFL. It’s been too long but finally, College football is back and better than ever!
College Football 25 is a pleasant introduction to the exciting sport of American football. The game looks visually stunning, and it's impressive how many licenses it has. The atmosphere is completely different from Madden. However, the game also shares many similarities. The gameplay is relatively the same, which makes sense given that it's the same sport. Unfortunately, the game doesn't offer much depth. Road to Glory is simply boring, and we're all too familiar with Ultimate Team by now. Additionally, the UI could use some work. Menus are cluttered, the music gets tiresome after a while, and on-field indicators are nearly unreadable from a distance. That being said, College Football 25 has enormous potential, and it's worth waiting for the next iteration, which will likely take a big step forward.

EA Sports could have done the easiest thing and reskinned the Madden engine and this would have still sold millions, so for them to not take that route I think they should be commended. College Football 25 is a definite buy for the college and pro football fan alike.
Finally being able to retire my old copy of NCAA Football 14 for Xbox 360, I was so happy to find that EA Sports College Football 25 was all I wanted and more in its return. There is still room to improve in some areas like with the bugs or additional game modes in the future, but this is a fantastic jumping back on point for the franchise after more than 10 years. For anybody who loved the original series or is just tired of the usual Madden formula, EA Sports College Football 25 may be just the game you’re looking for as it is a love letter to what makes college football so special from the bottom to the top.
Initially, the expectation for EA Sports College Football 25 was that it was just a reskin of the Madden franchise. EA has proven us wrong with that narrative as College Football 25 brings exciting gameplay and has new systems that cause players to think more about their strategies. The in-game presentation is great and the only downfall currently is the lack of modes. This might be the best EA Sports title we’ve seen in quite a while.
EA SPORTS College Football 25 adeptly brings the joy and chaos of college football to life in a breathtaking way. Nothing has ever captured that gameday feel quite like this and fans should rejoice that the franchise they know and love is back and better than ever for them and new generations to enjoy.
