Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Reviews
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a true sequel in almost every regard. Bigger, bolder, more expansive, better story and characterisation with a world brimming with stunning visuals and detail. But it maintains many of the original systems and mechanics that proved divisive last time and in case of combat, saving, and lockpicking, doubles down on them to the point where they become even more frustrating. What Warhorse have accomplished here is astounding and in many ways have raised the bar for Open World RPGs across the entire industry, yet you can’t help feel the game’s often times obtuse, unintuative systems and tutorials hold it back from its full potential.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a marvel with its intelligent mechanics and engrossing plot. While it isn’t perfect, most will find plenty to love in this esteemed follow-up.
If you were scared away by its commitment to realism, I implore you to give KCD2 and Warhorse Studio a chance as I did. If you're a fan of the series, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 delivers in every way you hoped, ascending to a select few all-time great works of art in the industry and one that was well worth the wait.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is an exhilaratingly immersive experience that, despite silly animations and graphical popping, manages to harken to the old RPGs and make you truly feel for the world. If you want an expansive adventure with no small amounts of shenanigans, this game is for you.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 tells a deep story thanks to excellent writing, with choices that shape the story and interactions. With demanding and complex gameplay, challenging mechanics that reward learning and progression. Despite some technical problems, the game is a very rewarding experience.

With Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Warhorse has delivered a true sequel, just as you would wish for. The role-playing game retains everything that was good about its predecessor, and there really was a lot, from the authentic medieval atmosphere and the fantastic open world to the gripping story and the challenging, realistic gameplay. All these aspects have been minimally adapted at most, so that anyone who knows the predecessor will immediately feel at home. In addition, KCD 2 has also improved essential things and expanded on the excellent basic structure of part 1, be it the breathtaking graphics at next-gen level, the pleasantly short loading times, the noticeably more versatile characters or the facial animations, which have been improved many times over. In addition, a lively environment, an atmospheric soundtrack and remarkably good dubbing round off this first highlight of the year. Only those who value highly guided, very accessible and easy-to-master gameplay, rapid progress and a fast narrative pace should seriously consider a purchase, as Kingdom Come: Deliverance II challenges us on many levels and demands patience. In addition, the still somewhat chaotic menu navigation in the inventory and the sometimes blatant brutality are also points that could bother one or the other type of player. But if you can get into it, you certainly won't go wrong with this medieval epic.

In the end, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a time machine. It transports you to an era where survival was earned, honor was fragile, and every decision carved its mark into history. It demands patience, strategy, and a willingness to embrace life without shortcuts. But for those who commit, it offers a rare treasure: an RPG experience as rich and unyielding as medieval Bohemia itself.
It won’t be for everybody, and even the ones it will be for will no doubt find grievances within its systems, but there’s no denying KCD2 is an incredibly deep and dense game that will reward those willing to invest the time and energy into getting the most out of it. A strong story pulls us through parts that otherwise might have been too much to persevere with, but there have certainly been enough times that we have found ourselves enjoying the game that we’d offer a cautious recommendation.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a shining example of how a sequel should be developed

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is the first serious contender for GOTY 2025.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 stands out as an immersive medieval RPG, offering unparalleled depth and realism. The game's authenticity and engaging storyline create a rewarding experience. Although its complexity may deter newcomers, its attention to detail and rich narrative make it a must-play for hardcore RPG and history enthusiasts alike. Despite minor flaws, it remains a strong early contender for the best game of 2025.
It wasn’t for me, and I can accept that. And sometimes, that’s perfectly okay.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a complex and extensive game with countless systems that require dedication to be properly used. Fortunately, this quasi-simulator of life in the medieval period manages to deliver a fun and competent experience, which justifies such a level of dedication to becoming a true knight. The beautiful and detailed production makes the story even more immersive, and can be customized according to the player's decisions. It is undeniable that it takes a bit of effort (and some suffering) to learn how the mechanics work, but it is well worth having this work of art in your library.

The land of Bohemia beckons you into one of the most immersive, visually impressive and brutal worlds you could ask for. A masterful RPG that combines impactful decision-making, gratifying combat, meaningful progression and a host of gameplay variety, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a triumph that deserves not just your money, but your time and your appreciation.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, while increasing the scope in every way. Its story is a weave of dozens of smaller, though still fleshed-out, tales, its gameplay is still clunky and endearing, and its presentation of Medieval Bohemia still creates one of the best settings in gaming. While not for everyone -- it requires patience, care for the world, and a certain tolerance for bugs and mistakes -- it is perfect for the exact kind of gamer it was made for.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a remarkable achievement in historical gaming and role-playing design. It successfully balances its commitment to historical accuracy with engaging gameplay systems that make you feel like you're truly living in medieval Bohemia. It's not just a great game - it's an experience that will stay with you long after you put down the controller.
Kingdom Come Deliverance II impresses with its engaging story, complex characters, and realistic gameplay, improving upon the first game's mechanics with a more fluid combat system. While the game shines in its narrative and challenging gameplay, it's let down by occasional visual glitches, awkward facial animations, and persistent audio issues. Despite these flaws, the immersive world. brutal combat and compelling story are very well worth experiencing!
