Wall Town Wonders Reviews
Wall Town Wonders is one of the most creative uses of mixed reality I’ve ever seen and it has quickly become one of my favourite VR games. It’s easy to slip into for a few minutes to check on your town, or you can play for hours as you delve through your favourite minigames to grow your little civilisation more quickly. The detailed world you’ll find living in your walls is utterly charming and you certainly won’t forget it in a hurry.
Wall Town Wonders is a visual delight, an charming burst of creativity that will awaken the inner child in any player. But the amazing experience of having a community of tiny humans taking up residence in the walls of your home is marred by the fact that interacting with the titular town can be a struggle. Technical issues mute the magic somewhat, but cannot stifle the fact that this game is indeed a wonder.
Wall Town Wonders is delightful mixed reality experience that’s creative, charming, and full of wondrous moments that’ll put a big smile your face. Watching your town grow and seeing its tiny inhabitants interact with the player and their space always feels magical, whilst the variety of gameplay mechanics spread across the city-building and quirky mini-games all adds to the fun. It’s simply unlike anything else I’ve played before and stands out as another imaginative example of what mixed reality is capable of. And sure, it might be better suited to bite-sized play sessions as opposed to long-stretches, but the time you do spend with Wall Town Wonders is always a treat.
While the casual pacing and lack of strategic depth may not appeal to everyone, those who approach Wall Town Wonders with the right expectations will find a delightful, relaxing experience that brings a touch of magic to their daily routine.
Wall Town Wonders never set out to be this all-encompassing experience. What it set out to do is give you a relaxing and peaceful game to play. I used this game to unwind after a long day. Spending some time in my own living room, but having these small buildings poking out of all sides is just an absolutely joyous experience. Did I mention the game is full of joy?!
