Critic Reviews for MySims: Cozy Bundle

The My Sims Cozy Bundle will give you a nice hit of nostalgia and charm, but not much beyond that. MySims and MySims Kingdom are pretty simple and repetitive games, what you see is what you get. While you can make your own fun, it's only within the limitations of each title.

MySims Cozy Bundle is a great example of cozy games, but unfortunately only on paper. The electronics developers have not developed the concept to provide a relaxing adventure.

My Sims is a faithful re-release of the game that came out in 2008. Both the good and the bad. It would have been nice to see the gameplay and blueprints modernised as the TV blueprints were all chunky TVs that no longer exist. They’ve left bugs in from the original game such as the frame skipping during the fishing mini game in the ocean area. It’s still fun but there’s really nothing new to make returning players want to pick it up aside from nostalgia’s sake.

The MySims Cozy Bundle is once again a true joy to play. I loved the originals, and I love them on Switch as well. It’s a pity the controls and camera movements weren’t updated, but you do get used to it and it doesn’t detract too much from the gameplay. I’m very happy that EA Games decided to bring the MySims games to the Nintendo Switch. I actually wish more companies would do that, as there are a couple of gems on the DS or the Wii that would do great on current-gen consoles. If only they would also bring the DS versions of the MySims games over to Switch too, as I remember they had a different story, which is pretty special for a game series to do that! So if you like the MySims Cozy Bundle and still have your DS, try to find the original handheld versions too.

MySims Cozy Bundle has certainly taken me back to the days of hiding my DS under my pillow when I was supposed to be asleep. It is a great addition to the Switch line-up, and I am excited to see if there are any more MySims games EA will bring back as well. I think for the price, you honestly cannot go wrong. If you are considering MySims Cozy Bundle then I implore you to buy it as soon as possible! I will be award MySims Cozy Bundle the Thumb Culture Platinum Award!
