Critic Reviews for Cataclismo
Cataclismo is an RTS that combines resource management and tower defense elements very competently. The meticulous construction of walls and the need for constant planning make the game quite fun and addictive, in addition to providing the player with a good amount of freedom for customization. Although it has some caveats, it is a very welcome addition to the genre.

If, like me, you enjoy strategy, base building and tower defense games, Cataclysm DEFINITELY deserves your attention.

In Cataclysm, humanity is on the brink of extinction. The last survivors, barricaded in the fortress-city of Hogar, battle dark creatures as they desperately search for a powerful sorceress. Players take on the role of Iris, a young leader called upon to build defences, manage resources and face hordes of monsters in a hostile world. The game fuses RTS, tower defence and city builder, offering a deep building system and compelling gameplay. Survival and Skirmish modes ensure high replayability, enhanced by scenarios and projects shared via Steam Workshop. The evocative aesthetics and immersive soundtrack amplify the experience, making it engaging and suitable for fans of strategy and creativity. Although with some room for improvement, Cataclysm stands out as an innovative and challenging title, offering a deep tactical challenge to both veterans of the genre and players looking for a strategic experience full of possibilities.

Cataclismo is an excellent tower defense title, providing some classic horde-defense gameplay with an incredibly unique building mechanic as a twist. Cataclismo’s 1.0 launch was a straight improvement over everything I criticized in its Early Access version, living up to my expectations and managing to impress me a second time around.
