Gallipoli is the WW1 series at its best, managing capturing a feeling of realism and fun simultaneously.

Gallipoli may have been a traumatic defeat for the British, in spite of ANZAC heroics, but it is a resounding success for BlackMill Games. This is the culmination of lessons and experience picked up in the previous three titles that have consistently set the bar not just for World War I shooters but large-scale warfare games as a whole. Gallipoli stands taller than the ancient ruins and towering hills it depicts, and is a strong contestant for best FPS of the year so far.

Gallipoli is the strongest entry in the WW1 Game Series so far. It's hardcore in its moment-to-moment gameplay but is still fairly accessible overall, giving players a wealth of class roles to choose from to help their side to victory. No two battles ever feel the same yet some will be left wanting more than a single game mode at launch, even if there is more content on the way.

Gallipoli is an all-around improvement for the World War I series, bringing sharper visuals and better gameplay to one of the conflict's least-explored fronts.

Gallipoli is worthwhile for those who enjoy historical FPS games, with a more tactical pace and weapons that demand patience and technique rather than skill. It's not a game for those who want modern action, constant running, deceptive slides, supernatural jumps, easy aiming, and rewards every five seconds. It's tougher, slower, and less interested in being just another FPS. Here, it tries to blend a bit of simulation with the end-game experience, something that works well.

The Gallipoli delivers a familiar experience in its finest form—one that has been refined through a wealth of knowledge—while shifting the focus of the war to the Ottoman front lines in the Middle East.

Gallipoli is brutal, tactical WWI combat, featuring multiple environments, solid teamwork mechanics, and a new Ottoman Front setting. The core experience of the battlefield is compelling, though it still has some technical roughness.

Gallipoli takes us back to the battlefields of the First World War with the series’ most impressive and dynamic audiovisual presentation to date. It brings an expanded arsenal of classes and abilities, but still struggles with the lingering issue of limited content.
